i have no idea tbh
they could literally make up anything and make it work so even trying to guess would be a long shot, all we know is that nikka is gonna get hurt, i highly doubt they let them split while both of em are perfectly healthy

Hell no, that shyt would provide no narrative purpose if he died in that situation. His whole story would be a waste. Every major death serves a purpose in the story. Stannis' death in the battle of Winterfell would serve no purpose, he has no allies that would seek revenge.
