Just came back from seeing it. It was pretty good. There were some obvious "i'll just play along moments". But it was still enjoyable. Seemed really long probably due to the silence. Soon as the movie started of course some a$$hole had to yell. Like that tweet above see it at certain times because them idiot crowds aren't going to stay quiet for long stretches. Heavy on tension, a little light on action, IMO.

This was one expertly crafted piece of horror entertainment.:ohlawd:

The movie's biggest (and frankly only) flaw is that the plot is largely built on the ludicrous idea that a family would ever bring a baby into this world. It's almost impossible to suspend your disbelief about that plot point, but outside of how conveniently silent the baby is, you really can't argue against the movie's execution.

There's a constant air of suspense and the use of sound (in particular the lack of it) really adds to the sense of dread. I did wonder how well mainstream audiences can handle all this silence but then again I couldn't care less since I saw this at a respectable venue with a respectfully silent crowd.:blessed:

Also @FlyRy I actually liked the "Jurassic Park" moments as you would call them. One, because they worked and two, because they worked. And when something works you should just shut the fukk up about it and appreciate it.

Go to the theaters with assigned seating they are usually much quieter than walk in theaters it also keeps people from sneaking in from other movies (rowdy teens)
I did. Though I never ever go on a Friday night except yesterday. It had been a really long time. Even an older couple was being obnoxious and I whispered to STFU.

The Alamo here is a bit far. But they are opening a closer one in a few weeks

They were fine. 3 of them ended the same way though :manny:

The year 3030
just got back from this..thought it was dope.

really liked how they didn't have dialogue for the majority of the film.

Also liked how we didn't really get some extensive back story on what the fukk these things are or how they got here.

They sounded like velicoraptors from JP though.

I really felt that shyt when ol girl stepped on that nail :weirdo:

that baby box though :picard::ohhh:

them thangs reminded me of the RE2 lickers:
