This shyt was mad intense. Like, there really wasn't a down moment. I loved it. I love how they used sound and silence here. I also like some of the themes they developed with very little dialogue. I thought it was really well done and refreshing, and really great acting by everyone.

I'd give it like a 9.5 out of 10. There wouldn't be a lot I would change. I'm sure a lot of people are gonna call it an Alien rip off or say it was too many jump scares, but I felt that the creature and use of jumps was nicely distributed, just enough to keep the tension running.

Been a part of horror since lovecraft homie. No way to escape it
I get it, but all I could think of throughout the film was how similar they looked. Different strokes for different folks, this one just didn't do it for me. A killer ass film directed by Krasinski though, major props to him.

On another note, that had to have been the most awkward sex.

From a human standpoint it was real good. You felt their love, hate, fear. I really like the father because he was a man's man. Wasn't a punk. Was a true leader for his family. I sure feminist hate him but forget them. As far as horror. Yeah, it suprised at parts. I didn't jump but I was surprised at several part so it got me there. as a whole the movie will intrigue. And then it'll get drawn out. Intrigue you. then get drawn out. Pacing definitely needed to be better but when it was action it was good. You definitely had fear of the monsters. But as a whole I would never revisit this movie.

My main issue though is how these monsters worked. I could never figure out how they detected if a person was there. At times it seemed like they were truly blind but if so then how did they walk around the wa they did? another problem was with the family itself and the monsters.
So you know these monsters are around and you bring a kid into the world. Niguh, at best I would be sodomizing my wife or she swallowing me. Even though they lost a kid. How could those monsters not hear a crying baby? Just didn't make any sense

The ending was depressing as well. That family had no chance without the father and was just waiting to die. Including that infant.
