He's boring and really does nothing for the party as a leader.Schumer needs to step down as the Dem leader after the Georgia runoffs.
Comes across as weak and indecisive.

Only person I see from NC with the base and connection with the electorate to win one of those senate seats is state rep Jeff Jackson.Apparently, Gideon wasn't touching the people either according to what I've read.
Maybe a big part of this self-reflection effort should be about developing better candidates within the party. How is that post-Obama revolution the Republicans have a more formidable bench? This doesn't make sense.
progressives - as in govt officials - didn't say it first, it came from the activist groups who are disproportionately in their districts and they parroted it back. and no, it's not some universally accepted and understood phrase even in progressive enclaves, you're kidding yourself if you think it is.It doesn't? So Progressives are saying Defund the Police just cause? I disagree, it works for them that's why they say it.
Progressive numbers are growing in the House so we Gucci ova here despite your 13 years of applied marketing expertise on this issue. lol
There's no issues regarding police oversight, government response to crisis and disproportionate policing of minorities in the suburbs and rural districts regular citizens are advocating for? I doubt that's true. Centrists need to get involved.
Any data yet on if there was a shift after the affair stuff leaked? From all the post mortem stuff coming about this election, I am most interested in NC as that is the state I am most perplexed about. I thought you guys would be in VA territory by now.Only person I see from NC with the base and connection with the electorate to win one of those senate seats is state rep Jeff Jackson.
CC was a miss, though I still believe he could have eeked it out if dems campaigned more without Covid.
The rural surge basically screwed NC because the population centers aren't as big as Arizona or Georgia.Any data yet on if there was a shift after the affair stuff leaked? I didn't say it was universally accepted or understood. But is understood and accepted enough in those districts for Progressives to get behind 'Defund the Police.progressives - as in govt officials - didn't say it first, it came from the activist groups who are disproportionately in their districts and they parroted it back. and no, it's not some universally accepted and understood phrase even in progressive enclaves, you're kidding yourself if you think it is.
lastly, the movement came from grassroots orgs that politicians in their district backed. so until there is the same movement in the suburbs and rural areas from activist groups, there's no need for (federal) politicians to go kicking it up on their own.
and please explain why centrists need to jump into progressive district issues and understand their constituents when the progressive wing has shown no desire to understand, take into account, and advocate on behalf of constituents' beliefs and issues in swing/conservative districts? this is a one way thing no?
Tillis is a slug it's just that NC has to many racist cacs teeming around so Republican have advantage.Apparently, Gideon wasn't touching the people either according to what I've read.

That's a good point. She has a lot of seniority. Sixth most senior Republican in the Senate. I'm sure a lot of voters didn't want to forfeit that.Tillis is a slug it's just that NC has to many racist cacs teeming around so Republican have advantage.
Collins is the only reason Maine is relevant.
I think he dropped 9 percent in polls the week leading up to the election and and I want to say 21% of people who may have voted for him said it gave them pause.Any data yet on if there was a shift after the affair stuff leaked? From all the post mortem stuff coming about this election, I am most interested in NC as that is the state I am most perplexed about. I thought you guys would be in VA territory by now.
way to simplify that. unpack the GND, and yes, there's a lot Biden has backed. as a sweeping package, saying yes loses PA...but let's continue to deal in hyperbole and extremesThe entire problem with party leadership can be understood by examining that one moment from the first presidential debate where Biden said, "Listen Jack, the Green New Deal will save us billions of dollars..." And then the moderator asked him, "Do you, Mr. Biden, support the Green New Deal?" And Biden, quickly and forcefully, replied "NO!"
It perfectly encapsulates Democratic messaging. "There's these great ideas out there! And we don't support them! Vote for us!"
What democrat on the ballot in the general election this year pushed socialism?shyt, even Joe had to downplay the socialist angle that the progressives in his party keep cheering on.
Man, you know why.Apparently, Gideon wasn't touching the people either according to what I've read.

A bigger problem in general than the scandal is that he never really seemed attached to the governor nor Biden.I think he dropped 9 percent in polls the week leading up to the election and and I want to say 21% of people who may have voted for him said it gave them pause.
not sure, but it plays into the overstepping "woke" internet/activist crowd that rather be provocative than effective at times. this reminds me of the whole issue with "latinx"...just a clear overstep in trying to sway opinion/change norms
I hear ya. If Dems worked closely with their grassroots they probably could have squashed the "defund the police" slogan a lot sooner. They don't work with their grassroots like Republicans do. The entire Tea Party movement was crafted through the RNC. The Texas Republican party worked with the Tea Party to create that story of the barber shop owner getting shut down and thrown in jail for defying the quarantine because they were worried about low voter enthusiasm. It doesn't get more operative than that. What democrat on the ballot in the general election this year pushed socialism?
What's disturbing isn't that Republicans pushed this, but that Democrats also don't seem to know what socialism is and think Universal Healthcare is socialism.
Man, you know why.
Look at people who think the Dems won this election because a soon-to-be 78-year-old man who has been in public service for nearly 40 years is now POTUS. Democrats have no focus on down-ballot races. Its white house or bust, which is a big reason why the messaging is always trash. THey don't work.
Even on a basic semantics level, Republicans call themselves operatives while Dems are consultants. Dems don't get on the ground and get dirty. THey rely on DC consultants.
