Police reform is a local issue...
Qualified immunity is a national issues. Police brutality is a national problem. Congress absolutely have the power to regulate policing laws. There are already bills in congress to ban choke holds and to lower Criminal intent. .
H.R.7120 - 116th Congress (2019-2020): George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2020

The supremacy cause states that federal law take precedents over state law. Also,
Congress have the power to stop federal grants/money to police departments. There is a lot Congress can do. Saying policing is a local issue is giving these politicians an excuse to pander to racist so called moderate white voters.

I think he dropped 9 percent in polls the week leading up to the election and and I want to say 21% of people who may have voted for him said it gave them pause.

How are you a politician and leave a dirt trail like that? I personally don’t care about stuff like this, but in churchy NC that is a problem. Especially in a tight race.

It's just messy. Dude was selling all this great character in leadership message only to actively undermine his own campaign.

He didn't deserve to win. One of the WOAT campaigns of late. :mjlol:

Watching all these white folks getting mad about being near a defunding the police movement which was started cause some cac had his knee on a brothas neck for an extended period of time is starting to make me feel some kind of way. I let it ride because I figured it's just politics but it's getting insulting now.

What’s worse is they defend the bad messaging because there is good policy behind it and you, stupid America, need to do more research :damn:.

Um, ok, good luck with that.

it's indicative of the left. imo, one of their biggest problems is that they suck at messaging, branding and selling their policies to the regular joe.

"defund the police" sounds fukking crazy to everyone who doesn't live in progressive-twitter land.
Their messaging always seems to be aimed at self aggrandizement or out-progressive'ing other progressives.
Rarely is it about gaining widespread support.
