NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Take an educated guess as to why these dudes with deep pockets, influence, connections, and the best legal advice you can buy didn’t fight the cases.

:patrice::patrice::patrice:
Actually Mike wanted to fight the case but his advisor said to settle so it can go away faster. Worst advice ever cause the nikka would’ve def won the case. shyt haunted him forever after that.

The charges and the whole media hoopla were messing up his tour and causing him to be dependent on pain killers. He had a real addiction at the time and his family and friends including Elizabeth Taylor were urging him to settle because they felt the stress was going to kill him. He wasn’t eating and had lost a lot of weight but was still doing shows day in and day out. Settling was a way of putting the whole thing behind him so he could get back to “normal”.

I’m not sure how old you are so i’m not trying to come off condescending, but if you remember back in the early 90’s Michael Jackson & Madonna WERE the Tabloid fodder of the time. The National Inquirer was like the TMZ of that time period and on their front pages they went from calling him “Wacko Jacko” to “Sicko Jacko” They were the ones who reported that the Police had to take pictures of him naked to see if his genitalia matched the description the boy gave them. It was all pretty traumatizing for him and going to court would have just exacerbated all of it
Exactly. MJ WANTED to fight that shyt.

They gave MJ good advice. There is no definitive way to win a civil suit when you're the defendant. They don't have to prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt. They just have to present the evidence in a manner that makes it likely that the defendant did what they were accused of. In MJ's case, it didn't matter whether he did what he was accused of. When you're talking about sleepovers with children. Nobody can say that this isn't a bad look. You can't really fight something like that in court because once the claims become public knowledge, what are you really fighting? For one, if you know that didn't do it and you have the love and support of your family behind you, who else is left to convince? The public has already made up their minds one way or another. Fighting these cases is far more costly than settling out of court. Its a lose lose sitaution.

Cassie was beautiful not particularly talented. That said, lack of talent has never stopped executives from trying to make a star if you have a "look". As far as Jay and Bey is concerned, Beyoncé was already pretty famous in her own right via DC and her trajectory was going up with or without Jay. I think he likely understood allowing her to do her was best. And her mama and daddy was right there if he didn't :troll:

Right. Suge and 50's domestic violence shyt is only a Google search away. They need to keep their mouths closed.

Curtis bee on that c00n time. He aint said ONE WORD about Jimmy Iovine and his cases :mjpls:

The streets and the folks coming for your head you gotta fight. People talk street justice in these scenarios. Public opinion has merits of keeping you safe. People just saying family supporting in obligation and you gotta deal with others any other day.
