Incorrect. The whole case would be dismissed. So diddy wouldnt have to worry about this particular lawsuit anymore. Otherwise she would have to change her entire story and refile against diddy alone. The courts wont go for that.
I thought Breh was talking about all of the cases against Diddy.

in any case, you're not necessarily correct either. depending on what their MtD requests, it may only be requesting to dismiss the case against jay not Diddy. we'd have to see the actual pleading to determine what they are requesting. it would be odd for them to try to dismiss the entire case given that JayZ's attorney does not represent Diddy here.

so the judge actually thinks there is grounds for dismissal. Interesting. Things looking good for Jay
It’s procedural. They will likely file for a motion to dismiss on multiple grounds but this one is the strongest one. The statute that they’re suing Jay under did not exist at the time of the alleged incident. You cannot retroactively sue someone under a law that did not exist at the time of the alleged offense. So based on the complaint, the theory of liability Buzbee used to sue Jay is invalid. It’s just sloppy lawyering on Buzbee’s part.

It wouldnt be odd at all. The same logic that applies to dismissing it against Jay would apply for Diddy. Even if diddy had to file a separate motion to dismiss. There is no evidence against either one of them in this lawsuit.

you normally don't file motions on behalf of someone who is not your client especially when you are trying to distance your client from that person

Not necessarily that they think this is grounds for dismissal, but that the argument is colorable.

OC has the time to refute the argument in their motion in opposition.

I don’t care for Jay-Z but I never once believed this BS lawsuit. Good for him for fighting this case, and not backing down.
A lot of people owe him an apology, and I hope it’s as loud and public as the disrespect.

I hope more celebrities fight instead of settling, if they know they are innocent.

The Truth
These civil suits (which led up to a RICO somehow) dropping like flies as they should.

Thats the issue with all of this…

I have no doubt Diddy was doing some freaky and wild shyt back in the day but I think everyone was in on it. But dragging Jay-Z was random af imo.

But the sharks smelled blood once he gave that immediate payout to Cassie. They felt like this was an easy lick now
