Well both of my parents are black and I was born in the US. I identify as African American my grandmother his half native american though
Get a DNA test and it will show SOME of your ancestry, though not all ethnic groups have been sampled so it isn't comprehensive.
So when those other groups were coming in they didn't mix?
so what it would show the west africa dna?

They tried to claim Great Zimbabwe and that's DEEP in Africa. They also try to claim Horner history or say that Horners aren't "real" Africans. The reason why Ancient Egypt gets so many attentions because point blank its one of the greatest civilization that ever existed and arguable the first with structures that still stand to this day.
And mean WHY DO people wonder why people obsess over Ancient Egypt. What's not fantastic about Ancient Egypt and its lore and the mystic surrounding it. Not surprised in the slightest bit that past European scholars(though some still do) try to claim Egypt and have an obsession with it via "Egyptomania". This shouldn't surprise anyone.
And I mean for crying out loud the very alphabets on our keyboards are basically grandchildren of Egyptian alphabets! Is there a wonder why there's an obsession with Egypt?

They also did the same thing to Kush. When they found the bones and palaces of ancient African Kings in the Kush empire they concluded that the masses were "negro" but the ruling class was Libyan which was code for white.
thread is an eye opener. I always knew the Egyptians were black but they always told us we descend from West Africa. As a matter of fact in SC and along other southern states the Gullah people kept there culture in tact.
