What does naive have to do with anything? I don't know what picks they were and how many but I know they wanted a few. Morey didn't want to do that and I'm not sure if I blame him depending on when the picks were. I guess we will, have to agree to,disagree on this one. I would've traded him but depending on the picks I might not have because as we see with Harden being out nothing is guaranteed.
I’d take harden hammy over Ben attempting 0FGs

That was a different set of circumstances and you know that considering the time that the Lakers had off before continuing the season and the fact that Bron hadn't hit Father Time in the eye at that point. AD was also all worldy in that bubble something that neither Brogdon, Harris nor Ben will ever come close to.
Harris nor Brogdon need to be all-world. The Bucks are a game from the Finals on the strength of Giannis being Giannis, and Middleton and Holiday taking turns being the #2/perimeter skilled closer, and a solid 4-9 rotation. There's little to no difference between Giannis/Middleton/Holiday and Embiid/Harris/Brogdon.

Y'all keep pushing back but there's no answers as to what guard y'all think Philly can get because it's clear they won't be better or the team isn't giving them up.

Who is the guard the Sixers need to target?

I'm in the camp that thinks Prime Embiid doesn't need that much more to get to the Finals. Brogdon and a 1st is not a terrible deal for Ben Simmons IMO. It's not James Harden like what was rumored at the deadline, but Philly runs the risk of Ben's value diminishing even further if they run it back and his game is the exact same. And with Embiid's health being a factor, it's a gamble to see if Philly waits to see if Ben improves or just uses him to fill out the roster and it's flaws.

What kind of package would you deal Simmons for? I'm sure they would love Zach Lavine or a Brad Beal, but I'd say Philly is not getting those guys. Also... is a CJ package better than Brogdon and a 1st?
:jbhmm:

I guess what I'm asking is, what exactly do you think Simmons can get back for Philly right now after this last postseason?
Pat Williams / Coby White / Thad Young / Tomas Satoransky / 2025 FRP :wow:

They should have made the move for Kyle Lowry during the trade deadline considering they won't have the contracts in the offseason to match without getting other teams involved.

There is a major difference between those two sets of players and you're lying if you say otherwise. Middleton/Holiday is a better duo than Harris/Brogdon. Giannis is better than Embiid IMO sorely based on the fact that he doesn't have the long term health concerns that Embiid does. As I said before, it was a reason why Harris bounced around the league before Philly got him as other teams were quick to get rid of him if it meant upgrading to a superstar player.

Lavine or Beal is the guard they need. Tobi is not a 3 level scorer like Middleton.

Coby White would be a good fit for Philly and he's 21. A package like that infuses youth and scoring into their roster. I'm not trying to add Pat in the deal tho (we still have to beat these mfs eventually to get to a title). If Lauri wasn't such a disappointment, a deal around Coby and S&T with Lauri along with picks/filler might be able to get the job done, but :francis:

Morey is going to swing for the fences. That deal for brogdon is nice but it’s not a deal Morey would make.

Morey doesn’t value FRP’s when contending. He’s going to offer Simmons and multiple frp’s for Dame.

he doesn’t do downgrade trade or even lateral.. not of his own decision making. He’s going to package Simmons with some draft picks for another superstar. Just like he made packages to bring Harden and cp3 to Houston. Morey value real stars. He offered Eric Gordon and 5 FRP’s(unprotectd) for Jimmy Butler when he wanted out of Minny.

I’m surprised he tried to play cute with Houston given the background. He should’ve offered 6 draft picks(unprotect and swaps) along with Simmons and thybulle for harden. Especially when it was known What the Nets package was.

Why should he have had to offer that much when what Houston received from Brooklyn in the end was compelete shyt :mjlol:
