Atlanta is the exception and not the norm considering that they don't have a max player on their roster (right now) and can afford to have the depth that they do. It's not going to be the case in the next 2-3 years once Young's contract kicks in and money starts getting tight.

Right's that's why they should flip Harris too and try to get high level role players.

Well either he needs to get his three point shot in order or he needs to seed up Maya Jama as soon as possible and the latter would be mandatory regardless of my ambitions.

All I took from the Klutch meeting a week ago with Morey is them not wanting him to be sent to a small market. And no matter where he’s at he will want the ball in his hands breh. He says he feels limited on what he can do playing the 4 :yeshrug:

And yeah Maya is elite…:wow:

No one is taking Harris contract without taking on another bad deal in return or adding sweetners to the deal. Philly has the picks and the young players to go out and get someone, but they don't have the contracts now to send out and upgrade. That's why they should have just made the move for Lowry and used Green/Hill as filler.

The fact this would basically be the starting baseline for a deal and Morey likely laughed them off the phone shows Simmons has way more value around the league then the idiots in here think he does.
Philly is in a great position honestly. Worse case is they have to hold on to Simmons until the deadline as he likely earns another AS berth and almost certainly looks better than he did in the Atlanta series. No hurry to trade him now when recency bias would effect his value.
I don't even like Morey but his track record suggests he don't give a fukk about stupid ass espn or message board narratives and tends to get the most out of his deals. Won't be surprised at all if he can pull a legit star like Dame or Beal. I just hope he doesn't package Thybulle, Maxey and our future of picks in the process

They didn’t fumble the harden trade, Houston just wanted a boatload of draft picks. They didn’t value Simmons that highly
Dudes just run with a narrative and just say it with no facts to back it up smh. You're correct that's what stopped the trade. Philly didn't want to give up all the picks on top of Ben

:pachaha: like dawg you’ve played the 4 spot your whole life besides playing for Brett Brown. You’re a 4 and not Magic Johnson and that’s fine.

Houston only did that because it was Morey asking and it was their way of saying fukk you since he left Houston on some other shyt that’s the only reason… Houston turned around and still traded Harden for peanuts in a Bk, Pacers 3 way

Yeah your an idiot if you didn’t see Simmons value being high at the time.. You still trade Simmons and picks for Harden I don’t give a fukk who you are..

Philly bouls, Trust the Process
Thing is the players we aspire toward aren’t actually available yet. There’s rumblings about Dame, but he’s not formally on the market

Obviously Ben alone doesn’t get you guys like Dame, Beal, LaVine, but Ben+picks/young guys could if they ask to leave

Problem is I don’t think they do until the season starts and the see their crew is whack

Brogdon isn't a #2 option and neither is Harris.

Dudes on here don't think that Middleton is a #2 option, but think that Brogdon is/can be :mjlol:
Brogdon and Harris can give you 18-20 a piece next to Embiid and that's what you need.

Middleton is a #2, last year I was in that boat but he's shut people up this postseason. Every team can't have multiple Top 12 players. In a world where the Justice League isn't based in Brooklyn an Embiid-Tobias-Brogdon trio can win a title.
