If they actual specs never came out 99% of these nikkas wouldn't notice the difference :dead: it's ridiculous these nikkas in here upset over how smooth the WATER looks in a game when majority of the time you ain't interacting with it much at all
In the console space the best example I have is Destiny 2.

The next gen changes make it feel like a completely different game. I'd be hard pressed to go back to the previous version.

I'm not going to rock with certain games due to framerate. Mainly competitive FPS and Racing games. It is what it is

Disgust at gamers thinking an outdated box and specs thats been in developmemt years befofe release should be 4k 60FPS.

Console gaming is a value not performance

4k60 is def a pipe dream for AAA console games right now. Best you can get is an unlocked frame rate at best.

I do think 1440/60 can be done on the regular.

I've kinda feared for a while that consoles will forever be at 30fps (no matter the generation). Devs and gamers prefer graphics over fps. It's been that way for a long time, and I don't see it changing in the future. Devs are always going to maximize graphics at the expense of frames per second it seems. There's always a new graphic setting that devs want to use and average gamers want to see. It is what it is.

I agree which is why I dont know where the push for 4k came from orginally. 1440P is an awesome resolution and easily obtainable on both systems. We just started getting 4k consistently with no problem on PC but those GPUs cost more then the damn system.

Gaming as a whole has to reevaluate what its approach is going to be.

I don’t recall anyone saying on this board saying 4k everything. Most understand that performance mode comes with a hit to resolution, graphics, etc

And even with the best GPU you can buy currently, some graphically intensive PC games are only running at high frame rates because of DLSS. If you take off upscaling the games are running sub 60, and sometimes even 30 with overdrive ray-tracing.

I love my 4090, but I still could use more power for some games to reach 120 at ultra graphics. It's always the case. There is never anything that is powerful enough to run the most up to date graphical effects with super high frames. I guess it's a good thing, because we are getting better and better looking games, but there is always a compromise.

As long as the game is 60 I’m fine. There’s no use worrying about something you can’t control :yeshrug:

Exactly I forgot about DLSS and FSR.

Yeah 60 is a sweet spot. I prefer 120 just because it's so much more smooth, but yeah 60 is perfectly fine. It's hard to play 30 though once you are used to 60 or 120. My monitor goes to 240, but I really can't see a difference between 120 and 240, so it's not worth the performance hit. 120 is ideal, but 60 is more than acceptable.

So quote a post of me or anyone else saying all games would be 4K/60fps on xbox due to 12tflops. Should be easy as we were all misrepresenting shyt:ohhh:

What i actually said about the consoles.

And i was argued down then.

I’m literally always fukkin right on here. Y’all gotta stop doing this to yourselves. :wow:
I'll give it to you. You were on the right side history, even though you trolled your ass off in those Insomniac Games threads. I'll retract your inclusion among that group. You're lying though with the claim that I believed the PS5 would be more powerful. And that *we* exaggerated the claims about 4k and 60fps.

Aaron Greenberg and the PR people at Windows Central pushed that lie and the fans ate it up. It wasn't until after AC was revealed to be 30fps that they cleaned up their claim.

At first:

Here's Greenberg liking a tweet further fueling the belief:

The Xbox Series X games reveal is only a few hours away, but it seems like Microsoft has already confirmed one of the most important features of the device. Today, Xbox's Aaron Greenberg said that "60 FPS will be the standard output, but the architecture allows us to support up to 120 FPS." Many gamers were worried that we'd still see 30 frames per second (FPS) games, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

From what we know, it seems like all games will run at 60 FPS on the console, but some, like Ori and the Will of the Wisps can be pushed to 120 FPS. It's unclear if this is going to be 1080p 120 FPS or 4K 120 FPS. We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more. Until then, rejoice at the fact that 60 FPS appears to be the standard going forward. This should result in not only smoother visuals, but also tighter controls because increasing the frame rate reduces input lag.

Keep in mind, Microsoft won't ban a game if the developer chooses to make it 30 FPS. But given the tools are their disposal, 30 FPS title should either be rare or nonexistent. The only reason I can think of them existing would be if a developer wants to maintain frame rate parity across Xbox One and Xbox Series X, for example, a game like Destiny 2.

Playstation PR said 1080p 60fps or death in reference to the PS4

They also claimed the PS5 SSD would afford new worlds and techniques no other system could match not even PC.

Anybody with sense views the PR for what it is.

For whatever reason you want to pretend only xbox does misleading PR:mjpls:

Really what Aaron greenberg said was way more accurate than Mark Cernys claims about what the playstation would do.

But here you are harping on one side of the bullshyt PR, while you’ve spent posts defending that dumb shyt Mark Cerny claimed about the PS5 ssd :mjpls:

And you still have not posted any receipts to back up your claims

You're deflecting instead of facing down the claims you made. That's fine though. I'm going to go eat an apple.
