I play mostly shooters and the difference between 30, 60 and 120 fps is night and day. Yeah you can’t tell the difference once you get used to what ever settings your on after maybe 10 mins but 120fps is smooth and worth the graphics degrade.

I only believe this to be true on no AAA games.

Bungee just announced a marathon reboot game and I bet that shyts gonna be 120 fps.

yeah 60 fps to 120/144 is godly. playing 2042 at a pretty consistent 120 - 144 is immensely helpful vs somebody stuck at 30 or even 60

Devs need to stop chasing hyper realism. Along with increasing dev costs and dev time, it’s super graphically demanding, which then leads to compromises elsewhere

Most gamers would prefer a game that plays incredibly well/smooth to super demanding graphics.

I get that from a marketing perspective it’s easier to sell graphics than “look out game is 60fps and super smooth” - but it’s time for a cultural shift

1440/60 should be the sweet spot and is a nice setting for both graphical fidelity and Framerate

I'm always confused why they push 4k so much. I would always select the 1440/60 option if given the chance. It hits the sweet spot for me. Another one that I've seen some insomniac games do is the 4k/40 option and use VRR to stabilize it.
