With my next position I think I'll be looking to relocate to a different city. DC has been good but I think with a new city I'll go out of my comfort zone a bit. A lot of development to be had.

NYC, Philly and ATL are my top choices at the moment.

NYC and Philly are more cosmopolitan and more my speed but ATL is a different feel from what I've accustomed to.

Big Nigerian community down in ATL as well. And that direct flight to Lagos

Got my promotion, Lent begins Wednesday and I've had my little ATL holiday. Gonna disconnect for the next 3 months and just GRIND it out on all fronts.

Because of the storm that never was, I got to work from home today. So I had some time to go to my interview. Didn't tell anyone.

A recruiter hit me up about a role but when we started talking salary i got the vibe they couldnt afford me because dude seemed disconnected after that lol

My former manager put me in touch with a Manager at a well know consulting gig for a Friday informational interview.

I'm back on the job hunt grind full-time. No lie, I kinda like it. That period where you're conducting interview after interview, sharpening your story and weighing your options. This time around I'm really gonna take a risk and go for it. Ideally I'd like to have at least 2 offers with 1 being outside my current metro area.

You're in IT so fully remote gigs should be relatively straightforward to i imagine. They might still have you working a few weeks at a time in the office but that shouldn't be bad.

Im in software dev. Most cities outside of Silicon valley and maybe NYC and Austin tx just have terrible culture or dont know what they are doing.
