I just setup for my mom, I never used it like how you described.
I would suggest you get a trust worthy account to walk you through it, that isn't something you want to just take from word of mouth, unless you have someone in your same state who can walk you through the numbers and every step and explain. IMO.
So my department's summer outing was this past week. It was a 3 hour cruise on the Potomac River in DC. Open bar, some food and music. The weather was great and it was nice that we had a day off work.
So when get on the boat the hosts and hostesses go around serving drinks (some tropical cocktail with tequila).
I'm not a tequila person so I went to the bar at order a double Henny, neat.
Our CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) sees me and is like
"Damn man..Hennessy at 10 am in the morning! You must be working hard"
Dude goes on to crack a joke after his opening speech
"...so guys, please enjoy the food, drinks and music. Thanks for all your hard work these past months. Some of you have been working so hard that you've started with Hennessy at 10 am in the morning"

What if I buy 20k worth of Amazon stock at open and sell all 10 shares at closing and make like $200 every day. 
See, what I don't understand is this:
Tequila was also being served at the time. Henny and Tequila are both hard liquors. Why the shade on the former and not the latter.

Been applying to tier 1/level 1 help desk and tech support jobs for the past 2 weeks. Pretty much just had tech recruiters call me with bs. Like 1 called me saying the gig was fri/sat 10am-4pm

Just opened up an account with stockpile to buy stock for my daughter (shes 2).
Read a lot reviews:
Good- Can purchase stock for your kids. Allows you to buy fractional stock.
Bad- It takes a while for the shares to be purchased (happens after market). Takes a while for you to be able to w/d funds.
The bad kid of sucks, but Im going for long term growth anyways.
The good is awesome. My 2 yrs old can have part ownership in Apple, Google, Amazon, etc at a fraction of the cost.

Got mine in may and got a new gig with a 30-40% boost in salary
That's the thing. My company will pay for it but you don't get a pay boost when you get it. So I have to make sure there's no time obligation after I get it so I don't get a new job too early.
I`m saying I left and got a new job after completion. Most companies require you stay a yr when you finish if they pay for it.
