I knew it was useful info, it's just this message board is so contrarian. I shared it other places and it's like "cool, thanks...good info". LOL not here, and I knew it, but got frustrated when it happened anyway. That's on me.

T-Mobile has hoe’d my number out long ago. Between data breeches and selling it. I didn't give that car warranty company my phone number. Plus the amount of my personal info that is available online. "Privacy" just doesn't have the same meaning anymore.

A little over 3 months in my new role and feel like I'm hitting my stride. Way better than my last role, I'm constantly learning and being challenged in a healthy way that will allow me to grow. Even got a raise on top of the annual merit raise which is uncommon outside of a promo year.

My manager says he feels like he’s not getting the level of communication that he’s hoping for.

He’s said it before and made more of an effort to communicate the status of things. So I made more of an effort to be active on Slack. He even cut out 1:1s from weekly to every other week, so I thought that things were good.

Y’all know I’m the type to answer a Slack message at any time. I don’t know maybe I need to get more organized in Jira.

My 1:1 is in an hour, so I’ll ask him then.

This is part of the reason why I dislike being the only IT person. He suggested me joining the daily eng standup. I said sure, but I don’t believe that’ll solve the problem.

Ask him how is he tracking that you don’t communicate enough and what would that look like? Without concrete numbers, he can say anything.
