Joins? We talking about joins? This mf Roger made the most complicated an inefficient data model in existence. It’s only ONE dataset and this dude had 5 different sections. Data all wrong. None of it joined together.
The meeting was about clarifying data points and making sure we have all the fields in the dataset, now we wasting time fixing Roger’s data model. Not even 50 fields. Complicated it for no reason.
You don’t even know what king of joins I’m talking about sooooo. Be loud and wrong elsewhere.Joins? We talking about joins?
Main get this rookie shyt out of here.
Request actionable feedback that can be tracked with metrics. “What does success look like?” What improvements do you want to see from me this quarter?” Also establishes a paper trail.I didn’t have a good year end review and won’t lie it fukked me up. It’s been a wild year at this company and some of the feedback was warranted, but other aspects came off as I should have stepped up or stepped in and I didn’t so I was dinged for it.
For example, the Qlik team they hired were some duds. She said I should have shown initiative to take over where they lacked. Ma’am I’m never going to step up to take on the job of 3, especially when they were hired LT 90 days after me being hired.
Seems very competitive and analytics isn’t competitive to me. It’s not about building tons of apps. I’m sad about it today, I should be over it soon.
I’m not going to stay, so it doesn’t matter at this point. Not just the review, but the “future” project talk came off like an app building competition.Request actionable feedback that can be tracked with metrics. “What does success look like?” What improvements do you want to see from me this quarter?” Also establishes a paper trail.

fair enough. my own experience is that the more solutions you bring the more you get.
Any additional meetings outside of what's scheduled would be an inconvenience to me.
What I'm asking is to have those expectations clearly communicated to me without having cajole them out of her.
give them a stored proc that does it (on a per "key" basis).
they can use that for their queries and that will help them identify the incorrectly set flags and it shifts the work (resource usage etc) back to them.
IMO it's more efficient to clean up the front end where the users are inputting trash than keep coding for exceptions.
Fair assessment, however as the ONLY person that knows the subject area, I’m not going to stress out just to “prove” myself.i got a hint of "i ain't moving" and "not my problem" in the few posts we shared about your work before. so i left it alone.
to assess the magnitude of the problem ... (not the solution)
solution (pushback/inaction) answer ..
