6 Figures 6 Certs Random Thoughts Thread

Every other month or so this same job from same company pops up as available. I don’t know if they just contract out work every now and then or the turnover is bad.

I’ve applied a few times only to be ghosted by the recruiter or never get to the formal interview. The last time it was paying $100/hr (this is why it stands out), I’m going to try again lol.

Just spent $10k on apple, Amazon, Microsoft etc stocks.

I’m thinking I should’ve repurposed some of that money for a down payment on a beater house

Big reorg at my company( We've always had smaller ones ) but this one is from the top-down.

It sucks, but they laid off hundreds of people and i'm still here. So Can't complain to much lol.

Time to get back on my certification grind. Knocked out 3 Azure certs this year.

I'll do 2 more ( AZ-400 & AZ-204 ) and then onto Security Certs.

How long would it take you to save up another $10k? You could always buy a beater house later. There will always be a good deal on real estate.

I have 11 more business days of work left for year. This is the only thing keeping me going at this point.

I hate it here…today. They outsourced all this Qlik work to some trash contractors and now they want me to “fix it”, I’m doing Roger’s dashboard cause he behind and need help, oh hurry up and do this because Dan going on vacation Wednesday, etc.

Y’all deadlines can go to hell cause I’m not over extending myself.

Secured a $1000 CLI on my Quicksilver. I need to double check if it's a hard or soft pull on the Amazon Rewards Visa and then try that one too.

Been starting to build up a personal brand on Youtube/Instagram/Tiktok. My plan is to build a following that I can funnel to my own products at some point.

Ideally, the plan would be incubate the side hustle while still working my engineering job during the day, but eventually if I can break off and be FIRE, it would be excellent.

For now, I'm just playing the long game. Building up my skillsets with video, photo, editing, film making, in addition to not falling for consumerism traps that'll get me in debt, and investing spare time and energy into owning my own shyt.

so ive mentioned before ive been in a state of influx with managers...the one i reported to has moved on to a different position so my manager's manage temporarily took over and she is a huge micro manager...getting on my nerves too...so i was assigned yet another temporary manager until someone is hired into the position...so we had our first one on one...and as she was talking about work life balance and how its important to step away from work if needed and make sure your personal life is on point, she started tearing up and wiping her eyes..her voice breaking..on the outside i kept a straight face but on the inside a combo of and ...went on talking about things that have happened in short detail and apologizing for crying..this is going to be interesting
