I understand what you're saying and please don't think I was making light of you being let go, more so pointing out how easy a great company/job can be ruined by one person.

I'm one of them. I have a 2007 Nissan and it had problems back in 2020. Pretty sure I would have needed to get a new ride if I had to drive to work.

I'm still fully remote but unfortunately have to start a hybrid schedule Jan 15th. 3 days in office a week smh.

They’re still playing this game. I don’t think they understand that the ship has already sailed. There’s a shortage of tech people with in-demand skillsets who aren’t going back into an office. You’re just gonna force them to get other jobs and re-hire when you start missing deadlines.

Or maybe this is just a lowkey way of reducing headcount after the Covid hiring boom.

Either way if I lose this current gig, or they pull some shyt like this, I’m gonna take a break from the 9-5 grind for a bit and focus on some projects that I need to get off the ground. Really tired of being told what/when/how to do shyt. I’m extremely motivated to begin setting my own schedules.

My job is hilarious sometimes. If something breaks and I fix it, they want me to explain to them WHY it broke and what I did to fix it. I don't fukking know why it broke, but this is how I fixed it.

Then it's always "Well when I tried that it didn't work". You obviously didn't do the same thing and instead of admitting that, you need me to try and explain the issue. YOU are the issue.

Any of y'all do any sort of content creation? I realize that we're inundated with it but I was thinking about what if you used it in tangent with your career? Pushing out video content to help in your roles. I think these would be good for roles that involve soft skills i.e. technical sales, customer success, etc.

It could be worth the setup cost and if you wanted to do something on the side you'd have a home studio.

I’m in a precarious situation now. Roger ass is behind in his work and I could easily complete Roger’s dashboard in two days, but then they gonna realize I’ve been bullshytting on how long it actually takes to get things done.

If I make the deadline I’ll be a hero, but that will just lead to more work. I’m gonna have to blow the deadline to maintain my cover. fukk Roger. lol
