Yea, salaries got wild. And this time last year, it was nothing to have 5-6 companies fighting over you. Companies really were reckless.Probably a good excuse for a salary reset when things pick up again.

I joined in August 2021 right in the middle of the Great Resignation, and in my role I had to approve all non-executive new hire offers. Forced me to re-calibrate my thinking about pay.Yea, salaries got wild. And this time last year, it was nothing to have 5-6 companies fighting over you. Companies really were reckless.
Glad to see you didn’t make the cut Elon gonna run that hoe into the ground. I’m in Michigan this weekend if you want to have celebratory drinks.Got my wish and got laid off from Twitter. Thankful for the career level-up, but I aint trying to work for Elon.
Need I post this again:These tech companies' growth targets must've been ridiculous for them to be cutting and freezing hiring the way they are.
Loaded themselves up with cheap debt thinking the tech rally was going to continue forever.
It looks like other sectors were more conservative with their approaches but I guess we'll see in a few months.
That's why I'm staying healthcare like.Probably a good excuse for a salary reset when things pick up again.
Good thing is, you got that on your resume, and its easy to explain what happened.I joined in August 2021 right in the middle of the Great Resignation, and in my role I had to approve all non-executive new hire offers. Forced me to re-calibrate my thinking about pay.
Yes, I'm paid a handsome amount, but I was ALWAYS working. different time zones, always had my laptop on me while on vacation, etc. I'm fine with that though, cuz I'm trying to get the bag. Will probably work harder at my next job, but they gonna have to pay for that.

If anything you'd probably get countless interview requests with companies out of curiosity asking about what the takeover was like.
I’ve gotten paid via 1099 a few times. You don’t need an LLC, but it’s probably best if the work is going to be steady so you can write off what you can.Anyone did any work as a 1099? I got approached about doing some part time consulting in my field. Im sure setting up an LLC and business bank account is pretty straight forward.
Stock was riding in the mid $300's this time last year. Down under $100/share right now. The math not adding up. Hopefully they do a better job of it than Elon's dumbass.Meta expected to announce massive layoffs this week that could impact thousand as tech bloodbath continues: WSJ
The layoffs come as a growing list of tech companies begin cutting jobs as employers brace for a looming economic recession.www.businessinsider.com
