I joined in August 2021 right in the middle of the Great Resignation, and in my role I had to approve all non-executive new hire offers. Forced me to re-calibrate my thinking about pay.
Yes, I'm paid a handsome amount, but I was ALWAYS working. different time zones, always had my laptop on me while on vacation, etc. I'm fine with that though, cuz I'm trying to get the bag. Will probably work harder at my next job, but they gonna have to pay for that.

Yeah, stark difference in what roles I'm contacted for and who is doing the contacting from my last gig and now.

Companies are sitting on a record amount of office real estate and this is no time to sell it.
I’ve gotten paid via 1099 a few times. You don’t need an LLC, but it’s probably best if the work is going to be steady so you can write off what you can.
If it’s only a few projects just be mindful of overall tax liability.
