breh, you too G (as in bourGie lol) to just now be discovering the power of linkedinI used to shyt on LinkedIn, but brehs...I made a post announcing my layoff from Twitter (made it short, light on feelings, no virtue signaling) and I've been flooded with opportunities to connect/interview.
Changed my status to "Open to work" and now it's too much to keep up with. I'm a breh with locs, and B/W headshot as a profile photo...so they aren'tfrom what I can tell.

Congratulations! Hybrid isn’t too bad depending on how long the commute is and if the office is nice.
Do you have an option on what days? I preferred Monday and Tuesday to get it over with. Also you can run errands, like grocery shopping since you’re out anyway.
The role I’m in now is my first 100% remote and it can be a little much, but I also don’t have a dedicated office and I think the separate space would help.

It’s 3 days in the office. So Monday and Friday
My last job was 2 days in the office, but devolved into only coming in when needed.
I’m glad I got something because I was getting tired and annoyed with interviewing.
The job is IT infrastructure. One of the interviews was a security engineer and he said I’d be working with him a lot. So good learning opportunities.
Edit: There’s still going to be a ton of IT support because I’ll be the only one.

Yesterday I moved my standing desk/work area to a second bedroom serving as a "catch all" and should have did this sooner. Not an official office, but I was able to make space for my plants and organize some of the items aka shoved them hoes in the closet, so it's pretty cozy. I definitely need something official though.
That's not horrible either, hopefully once you get into the groove bulk of your work load happens mid week and the WFH make it seem like a long weekend every week.
