I say this all the time, when I worked in the office 75% of the time was spent bsing, talking about non work related shyt, about 25% spent doing actual work.
I used to take a whole 30 minute walk, daily. Not to mention me repeatedly deleting my local Maven repository and rebuilding my code, just to appear busy to people around me. It's all about keeping up appearances when you want to sit and do nothing. For me, WFH allows me to push through those periods more quickly by just doing what I feel like doing. No fake productivity because it ain't productive :yeshrug: . After I've comfortably fukked around for 15, 30, 120 minutes, then I can get back at it.

Took me a year after getting the AWS CSA Associate and CompTIA Sec+ certs but just started a Cloud Security Consultant job with a six-figure salary. They paying for me to get more certs and bump my pay for each one. Bout to use them to level up, take the knowledge I learn from there, and push my own independent cloud consultant business with my big brother.

Officially apart of the 6 figure 6 cert gang (will have six by the end of March) :wow:

:salute:

Once you get experience and add up the certs, opening your own independent consulting business is the only way to go. Now we are talking about real money :myman: .

Let's say you make 400K, there is a big difference between an individual (and getting taxed like a Muthafukka) and a company (You pay yourself 130K yearly + you can write off a bunch of stuff as business expenses).

Do the knowledge and come up in the game :birdman:. shyt is ours to lose :unimpressed:.

Hoping I get some good news this week :beli:. Interviewing for my dream job. Hope I got moved to the next step.

ended up giving me an L...not even sure why. Thought I did great. Anyways, moving on. This will not stop my grind.

Seriously considering this as my next stop and applying to grad school as my next stop. There is no more security certs I care to get.

You been trying smaller companies with less than 50 employees and startups?

No, not yet. I just started testing the market. People here have been able to leverage their experience here to get into other big companies so I am hoping I am next. With that said, as long as the money right, I don't really care where I go. I just want to make bank.

This is the reason why I am thinking I might as well do this. It may get me to my end goal way easier. These salaries are crazy.

As part of the interview process, I have to create a document on how to set up the office printer. The intended audience are the users I’d be supporting. But I don’t understand, shouldn’t the printer already be setup on everyone’s computers? The interview is tomorrow. I’m just going to make a document with some easy troubleshooting tips.

I’m procrastinating because they didn’t provide details. Like printer type or any sort of scenario that this would be for. Anf considering that I’ve read things like this at previous jobs… this whole thing just feels like I’m moving backwards. How old am I going to be helping people with printer jams?

When I spoke to the recruiter he said they haven’t finalized the salary. From what I know about the company and the role, I’m not really feeling it.

Meanwhile, I interviewed for a different company last week that seems better. But I’m getting tired of job hunting.
