Working on a few projects definitely got me stressed.

Feel like I need a vacation.

I haven’t taken one since last year around this time.

Definitely operating on fumes.

Had a couple days this week where I felt disengaged from work.

Part of it is just hitting a road block in my work.

Problem solving is cool and all, but I feel like I’m putting a band aid on a bullet wound for one of my projects. Because we’re essentially using an antiquated database(access) and trying fix it by merging sql server on the backend to optimize its efficiency.

Same here. Haven’t had a proper holiday since start the of Covid. My coworkers have gone on at least two 1-week holidays this year alone.

I’ll prob do at least 2 weeks in March 2023.

Landed an interview with a recruiter for one of the big boys. I am very excited, nervous and don't really know what to expect. Recruiter and I are scheduled to talk this Wednesday.

I passed the "pre-test" for the Qlik BA cert and earned some sort of badge. It was this two part thing that tests your knowledge. The first part I had to build an app based on a set of instructions. The second part was a 50 question test and some of it was based on information you had to get from filtering through the app. I'm going to go through it all again and take more detailed notes. I have the test scheduled for the 30th and I'm feeling more confident about it. Still need to schedule my PMP exam, but waiting to see if I pass this Qlik exam first. I should know the results right away.

I know PowerBI and Tableau are popular, but I'm going to thug it out with Qlik. There are so many features I've been learning and it would be nice to learn something inside out instead of just enough to get the job done. LOL but these are just thoughts of today, something could happen and I'll have a new group of feelings.

Just read the job description again and it said Principal . The job title said it was a senior role. I do match all the certs requirement lol but I wouldn't be a senior since it is not something that I do day to day. I don't even mind coming in at a lower level. I just want to get my foot in the door.

My company posted an open role that's basically my counterpart on the team and I got a LinkedIn job match notification for it. I didnt read it correctly and thought it was my job getting posted.

I want to share it on my LinkedIN, but i'll get spammed by random folks in India that want to apply even though it's US only.
And the people who know me IRL can view my salary range since we started putting the real salary ranges on our job postings.

The hell wrong with them guys. Anytime I make a post I have like 3 or 4 napoleons trying to connect or straight up scam.

What Resources do ya'll brehs use to study for certs? For me it's Professor Messer, ITProtv, Mike Meyers, and then self-studying through search engines and reading articles from sites like techtarget. Got a couple of video courses through Udemy and Coursera.

I heard of other sites like TryHackMe | Cyber Security Training for cyber security.
