How does someone like that make it to the final round?threw his assignment/presentation together in like an hour
was working on something for his current job when i logged into the zoom and hadn't given any thought to how or what he was going to present
whole bunch of rambling
seemed really rattled by follow up questions to his presentation - the one he spent no time on
didn't give clear examples to other interviewers
told a sales person interactive segments aren't needed in sales training
just an overall mess
Easy to be pulled together enough in one interview, his portfolio was good as well. But that’s why we have assignments and people meet with multiple stakeholders in the final rounds. Much harder to cover your weaknesses in net new work and when talking to multiple people. He also got another offer, from a shytty old school tech company, but some people tend to stop caring about their interviews once they get one offer. How does someone like that make it to the final round?

I'm the acting Executive Director for my LOB and I understand why people want to clean house and force people out when they can. The people I am managing have loyalty to the person who hired them and they're making my job harder than it has to be.
