And now they’ve asked me if I know how to push out the update to the company website.

Last week I was dealing with conference rooms. This week I was told to cable management peoples desks.

This is kind of dumb.

Decided to drop my J1(job 1). Pay wasn't all that but it really just became redundant and more of a task.

The work was easy, but I really just phased out dealing with the people and putting up a front. It also felt stagnant to my growth.

I feel like my time would be better spent upskilling at a moderate pace, than wasting any type of energy at J1.

Definitely would consider a 2nd job in the future, for more pay.

My last day is next Friday.

Looking forward to being done with work at 11am / 12pm, everyday :wow:

New job actually encourages me to work on upskilling as a part of my time spent working. :ehh:

1:1 went well. No one was ever in jeopardy of losing their jobs lol and I will be under my mentor's overall group, but this other guy L's team.

L was cool and told us to come to him with any areas we want to be trained or certified in and they would invest in it. I'm definitely going to ask about Qlik certs and Jira. The company doesn't have an official reimbursement program, so I was going to pay for those myself. Now I'm hoping I don't have to.

The finance director (Indian dude), was surprisingly cool as well. I shared with him my goals and he said it aligned with his vision. This could give me the opportunity to pivot to more project management and data strategy work. I'm excited.

I have to make more money. There is just no way around it. I NEED to net at least $15k/month. Not to buy shyt but to save/invest and feel remotely comfortable about tomorrow. The smallest thing could wreck your entire financial trajectory.

I’m panicked af right now and I just hope it’s a phase, I don’t like being this anxious all the time. I’m so fukking overwhelmed and being broke provides zero comfort.

I was just thinking that I'd like to make 150k a year. Once I get these bills squared away I can get back to investing.

Net or gross? I think with all I want to do with my money, I’ll need $250-$300k a year. Of course I could live off much less and I do, but I want to get ahead of the game if I can. Not trying to live in luxury, just afford a few luxuries.

For example, my daughter was invited to a STEM program at Emory University for a week this summer. Program costs, travel, hotel (for me she is staying at the school) was like $5k. I budgeted for it, setting aside money each pay, but I want to have it sitting and available.

Gross. I haven't found any passive incomes streams to get me to 250k.
