Spoke with Rachel's account manager, Gary about the role. The client wanted samples of visualizations, which have always been proprietary to the company, so I didn't have any. I've practiced some stuff on my own, but I was focusing more on coding part, so it's really nothing to see. Gary said he understood and mentioned he didn't feel it was necessary, but the client requested it so he had to ask. He would try to push for an interview anyway, but I don't expect to hear back from him.
LOL I'm tired of interviewing already, so I'm shifting focus to studying for the Qlik admin cert. I failed the architect one a few months ago, but I didn't study all the right content either. It was a lot of coding/scripting scenarios I didn't know. I have admin permissions for the Qlik server and I've been made responsible for monitoring the jobs and services, so the plan is to study along side things I'm actually doing. I also think with the cert, I'll be able to grab a second position more quickly and yield a little more.
Is it a good/bad idea to put a certification that you’re in progress with in your resume?
Good idea, especially if you're less than 6 months from getting it. Apply for jobs that already require the certification as well.
