I think I should stay for the money. It’s a good deal and the last month of it is completely remote.

I can study to beef up my skills and take my time to find a role that I really want.
There are many variables that go into a search and this market is very different depending on your field-I try not to offer unsolicited advice but I’m a saver :lolbron:- good luck with your search starting in December!

Man, speaking of saving I gotta go and I’m gonna take one of my coworkers with me, these numbers are crazy and the culture is hella nice-nasty pass agg vibes.

Might have to pull out of some roles can’t waste my time when numbers indicate to not even bother. After this next role I’ll be able to write my own ticket def for assoc or Dir+ Merry Baby Jesus bday to me mmhmm

My plan tentatively as far as next 6-8 month's God willing.

Take both A+ next month, then start Network+ and Sec+. I have a full-time job already making a help desk salary so I was wondering should I get a part-time help desk job to supplement that experience or maybe volunteer at a Church's IT department so I don't have to go through that process. I'm already 28 and don't have the savings to dwell In low wage at the moment. I have a Bachelors's in English from a reputable college and most of my career work has been customer service related and client interaction with some of the most diverse groups of people in NYC (I know that's been a shortcoming for many IT folks.)

Also after Sec+ should I go into Azure or cloud instead of CCNA? The ultimate goal is cyber security analyst or whatever pays 110k or more with not that much annoyance.'

Sidebar -I can't believe I wasted time and didn't just study for the a+ 2 years ago, turns out I know some stuff already just from my day to day interactions and computer and mobile usage:beli:

Now I'm seeing don't get the A+ cmon man I need to get to the bag fast whats the real method

Start with sec+, then CCNA, then aws solution architect, azure administrator and a Linux cert.

Up doing homework for these roles, they're short and easy as hell (for me, not "average Joe/Jane") but I have to maneuver in a way that doesnt interrupt my current work/tip off my current bosses-it's a lot but thank goodness for remote work, woudn't be able to get all this done in its absence.

apprised my dad of the updates and he assumed I got fired lmao it is so hard navigating being the first for a lot of stuff in my immediate family full of people who've never been here/won't. A lot stay at the working class position for years/decades because it pays the bills , w/o formal education even though they hate it but won't apply for managerial roles and are old-school in that accepting an offer is like a marriage, yeesh (even when I tell them the #s they be like "Aren't you switching too fast?")

Sent in “homework one” and have to put together a 10 min presentation for tomorrows final guess I better look up this company. I have hella interview calls and simultaneously trying to juggle mild stuff I have to address on behalf of (Indiaaa) or max stuff every Monday without fail but today was a great one, Unfortch the teammate been doing stuff I keep having to clean up with clients and internal. I’m the last one to be a tattlin Tammy and prefer to tell you but if you don’t listen hella times and the account is already flaky, then  I do not want this client and it’s clearly burning teammate out, but help and take over were declined for fast results. It’s just a coaching need but my colleagues are sooo sensitive.

Getting my titles in these rounds, pretty confident ecstatic about the numbers and we’ll see how this plays out. It’s this organized hecticness that drives me ngl

My job is shutting down their US operations in February.
Did I already talk about this? When they announced the shutdown, my coworker (who had put his notice in well before this) got emotional. Got disrespectful with his comments to the CEO in the company All Hands meeting. "You didn't know the US market! Admit you failed in the US!" It was weird to me because he was already leaving and he'd only worked there for 2 years. It's not like he was a super early employee or anything.

And he just kept going and going. It's like he had 2 years of grievances to get off his chest. I like the guy (he's a breh), but if it was so bad, why didn't he find a new job earlier? At one point, someone on the call said, "It's not the time for this." But that person was Europe, so the situation didn't really affect them that much. Finally, the CEO says that we can meet one on one and talk about it. The CEO and leadership answers weren't that great, but what could they say?

I like the IT team and some of the other people in the company, but I didn't like the job and I've only been there for 7 months. They also offered me financial incentive to stay until the very end.

So today I started doing inventory on everything in the office. I'm hoping they don't make me ship all that hardware to the HQ in Europe. Most of it is old and that would be stupid. And I hope they let everyone keep their laptops, I don't want to deal with too much UPS fukkery.
