Offer letter for a Network Systems Admin job just came in. 7k more than what I’m getting now. it’s in the aerospace and military defense industry also which is a plus

As long as I have time to fukk around in Debian and Ubuntu I think I’m gonna take it.
I have some cool projects at my current company I’m excited for though.
Just deployed a FOG server, Almost through with the configuration of OpenProject(we aren’t ready for Jira yet) and I have some really cool ideas in regards to how we monitor the network. Think I could find a way to slide in Docker maybe a little bit of Jenkins cause I want that on my resume at some point since we develop software in house. We’ll see what I decide on

He was working from home and couldn’t get Internet working on his work laptop because he was getting an IP conflict. And then he used the same password for his computer and company account, so it forced a reset. Then he entered the email address wrong and couldn’t close the pop up.

It was a rough morning for him.

Most of them are fraud as fukk with their overall ability and knowledge. White people are just stupid, so it's easy to run game on most of them, especially when the entire world has a bias against black people. This will deadass 4x in 12-18 months on the low end and I fully expect it to 6-8x in 3 years. Gonna work my ass off and hope they succeed, this is literally a potential million dollar exit if I collect all four years of equity and would position me for a VP role.

100%. My good friend from uni was one of the early software engineers hired at Paystack in Lagos. After their acquisition by Stripe, his total comp package will probably be around $1M - $1.2M once all the equity vests. He was honestly the person that convinced me to pivot into fintech/digital payments. The growth in SSA right now is immense. Still a virgin industry.

First interview Thursday, I see they have a role open for higher so making them bump up wish me luck.

I have an impatient streak where I accept because I want and end up skipping other places because was already negotiating by the time a place is like yes let’s keep going. Remote work has been such a blessing truly, I’m able to slow myself down forcibly and make sure I check off all my boxes.
