Do you even apply?
Or do you read the description and go
? I know you know, but nothing to lose by applying.
This. A recruiter called me today and she's like your background is a good fit blah blah blah and I stop her like, "I don't have my PMP". She said "Oh they aren't looking for that, they want someone with the experience".

She said this based on a copy of my chronological resume that she pulled because I worked with another woman in their org last month (Same company, different role).
I created a combo resume that highlights some functional areas as well as lists my chronological experience, so I sent that to her as well and a copy of the PM certificate I received from my graduate class. Like, I KNOW this stuff, I just need to apply it professionally. I've decided to go for my PMP by my birthday, so it's not even something I have to concern myself with for long, but I am lowkey mad I passed on a bunch of PM roles because of that.
