Onboarding remotely is definitely an experience. It’s like you’re in the company but not fully submerged in it quite yet.

SN: All my meetings have been audio only so I still don’t know what people look like :russ:

For those of y'all remotely working in a different state, are you guys getting double taxed - once from your employer's state and again from your resident state?

I know auto pay is supposed to be the next step up in life, but I don't like it. I want to pay when I get the money and keep it moving. Having it sit there in my account only makes me want to spend it more. If T-mobile didn't offer that $15 discount for auto pay, I'd be done with it.

See if you can have them move your billing date to when your paycheck hits.

That, or open a 2nd checking account strictly for bills. Only deposit the exact amount needed to cover your monthly bills and don’t carry the debit card around.

I like the second account idea. I would use the new one for bills and have my debit card connect only to the first one and use it as my “spending” account.

I don’t spend the money, I just hate having it sitting. I’d much rather pay it and get it over with. If it’s in another account, I could hide the view on my app and it’s out of mind.

Yep. This is what I do. My BoA is my regular spending account. My Wells Fargo is my bills paying account. The WF isn't linked to Apple Pay or any apps like GrubHub, Venmo etc, only to each of my various bills (phone, utlities, etc). I still keep the app on my phone but I don't carry the debit card at all. Out of sight, out of mind.

Finalizing this resume concept I've been thinking about. My graduate work introduced me to a lot of concepts and technologies that I have no professional experience with, only educational but I still I want to make sure it's highlighted on my resume. I've gathered copies of my syllabi from my graduate classes and going to use the course descriptions, overview and learning outcomes to craft my bullet points.

Accomplishments only

Learning IS the accomplishment, imo. What's the point of learning it, if I never get to apply it in a professional setting? And how can I apply it in a professional setting, if everyone is looking for me to quantify it? I get what you're saying, but in my case I don't feel the education experience should be left off, when the skill sets are necessary in today's market. I'm just trying to balance it all somehow. I'm going to test it out for a few Fed jobs I've seen open. I've been rejected at every turn with them, so I'm not tripping if I don't get feedback.

I really need to get over myself, like seriously. Legit scared to go for PM roles because I don't have the cert. Certificate or not, I'll have to manage a project for the first time at some point. The certification isn't going to somehow make me do a better or more terrible job, just show I remembered enough info from the PMBOK to pass the exam. It's really what I want to do. What I end up doing for people/small groups FOR FREE in some shape or fashion anyway. I also specialized in the shyt for my graduate program, so it's not like I'm just out here winging it and bullshyting. I know this shyt!
