It wouldn’t hurt them to reach back out. At least tell me y’all went with someone else or with everything going on the competition is at a halt.

It legit wouldn’t hurt to just communicate back. Got mfs hopes up just to ghost smh
Some of them are screening so many candidates at one time. They forget they already spoke to me just a few days prior. Or they comeback with a job req that I previously turned down from them.

These companies will hire just about anyone to be a recruiter. That shows how much they could give a crap about the position their filling. These companies just don't want to do the work themselves. So they farm it out to the lowest bidders with no training or idea what the hell their doing.

I don't even care if he doesn't get back to me, just the fact he reached out. That means there is money out here to be made and DOD contracts appear to be a gold mine. I swear they have meetings playing "money to blow" in the background.

That's why you keep moving. You have to realize that your recruiter probably has 20 resumes, then for the job posting itself there may over 200 submissions. So even if you made your recruiters cut, you still need to get through the second round. Don't take is personal, just be more upfront and demanding when you're talking to them. I always ask the salary up front. I've low-balled myself so many times, so I'm still learning. If the salary isn't what I'm looking for I won't continue the conversation.

Dude hit me up on LinkedIn for a DOD role as a Qlik Developer...$80/hr - $110/hr.:noah: Sign me up! The "catch" is I'd have to be onsite in Hunstville, AL for 2-3 weeks before moving to remote work. NOT A PROBLEM! He asked me to email my resume, so I sent that off this morning. Usually I don't get hype, because recruiters bullshyt, but those numbers are looking right. Even if I only brought home $60/hr after taxes, I'd still be :blessed:
ive thought about transitioning into a Qlik role on the BI team at my job in maybe the next 2-3 years as im learning the stuff..to make 166K to 228K doing that?...sheeeiiiiit

Going to B-School from home has been weird. I've got 3 classes this summer but apparently Georgia says the schools will be back in person during the fall. :gucci:

Still got a job(knock on wood) so I'm trying to save up as much as I can in case the economy continues to suck through the fall.

I definitely wasn’t qualified :heh: they wanted experience using Qlik to develop aerospace solutions... Like I said the fact he hit me up was good enough. I think the $55-$60 range is a sweet spot outside of DOD, so still good, but low in comparison to other disciplines. I’m going to pull the trigger and get certified in it. Hopefully they have some ‘Rona discounts.

I'm surprised no one in this subforum has referred to applying/receiving/questions regarding SBA stimulus loans.

@Originalman has been preaching about DoD contracts for years.

I saw two roles drop for a SAS analyst and architect. One said $77/hr and the other was $98/hr...I applied for both, fukk it! :manny: I've been rejected for way less money :russ:

I received a SAS certificate in applied analytics when I was doing my masters program, so I included that with the application. I still have access to the SAS platform and they have a bunch of tutorials and video, so I'm going to run through them today. Be prepared in case they call me back. With that said, the SAS official certifications weren't all that expensive, I will put it on my list to consider.
Been dragging my feet finally going get my cert in SAS next week. I feel confident as fukk now.

Good luck! I know you’ll kill it.

My goal at this point to land what I can with the education/training/experience that I have. I wish I knew what tf I wanted to do or at least how it all plays out. I’m scared to get another anything that will be useless.
