Was submitted for two different roles today and I think I low-balled myself both times. First one, I gave a range of $50-55/hr and she put me in at $55, the second one I said $110k-$115k and was submitted for $115k. If they don't ask if there is room to negotiate, typically you're low. Luckily all those figures are more than enough for me.

Edit: I knew it!! Job description came back with a range of $120k-$130k. I called her right back and told her put me in for $120k. How you gonna submit me lower than what's written on paper?

Is it a 3rd party recruiter? They were going to pocket that 5k difference probably.

She did put me in at $120k, but I doubt I ever hear from her again though. I’m extremely discouraged, but cant give up completely.
A good 3rd party is a unicorn. Normally they try to wrangle you inside a range and they get the difference from your offer and the top, which is why she was cool putting you in at 115, but also at 120. A good 3rd party would have said you're lowballing yourself, let me put you in at 120 or more. Even if you didn't get the job, you'd be more likely to think they're looking out for you, and you'd probably pass them candidates for other roles.

Dude hit me up on LinkedIn for a DOD role as a Qlik Developer...$80/hr - $110/hr.:noah: Sign me up! The "catch" is I'd have to be onsite in Hunstville, AL for 2-3 weeks before moving to remote work. NOT A PROBLEM! He asked me to email my resume, so I sent that off this morning. Usually I don't get hype, because recruiters bullshyt, but those numbers are looking right. Even if I only brought home $60/hr after taxes, I'd still be :blessed:

From the description about 75% or more remote. Infrequent visits, I’m thinking trainings or meetings. I don’t mind being onsite, for say, one full week and wfh the rest of the time. I could just get a hotel. But if it was like 2-3 days every week, I couldn’t.

God I hate Recruiters! Their either scumbags or idiots no in between.
:francis:
It wouldn’t hurt them to reach back out. At least tell me y’all went with someone else or with everything going on the competition is at a halt.

It legit wouldn’t hurt to just communicate back. Got mfs hopes up just to ghost smh
