Ordered a webcam thru Dell and that shyt ain't coming until July. :mindblown:

I saw that the CompTIA exam can be taken online but I need a webcam tho, unless I try it on my tablet but I thought its the same thing and I'm not fully ready anyways. Going thru all the course videos and taking practice tests again to get a final understanding. Its like some stuff I get and is easy but other stuff like the IP stuff might be a bit difficult. So who knows if the testing sites will be open before July anyways. Might as well take advantage now. My pharmacy tech license expires at the end of the year and I need to complete 20 hours of Continuing Education credits. I've done 16 already but the other 4 have to be live. I can go somewhere or I can do it online like I did last time. Only thing with online is that the free ones are limited and they open the sign up portal for non members to the site at a certain date and time. I still have until the end of the year but still want to get that out the way and not wait until the fall or later. Want to get that updated and work on CompTIA in the meantime since I need to eventually get another job since I was laid off on Thursday. Luckily I'm good to sit tight for a bit but of course that's not something I would prefer to do. Good and bad so to speak. Waiting on this unemployment hopefully since I put in the claim, but knowing how things are, I know thats been a hassle for folks. I would apply for jobs with my tech license now but I ain't trying to deal with the general public, especially the ill, during this time. Might just have to hang tight for the time being and cut back on any spending which I have, and just try to invest some and keep studying.

The good news is, I know what I want to be when I grow up. The bad news is, I still have no clue how to get there! I do know I want to continue working with/on projects, but not necessarily managing them, but more in a PMO (Project Management Office) setting. It's about creating standardization, processes and procedures around project management practices for the entire business.

Semi-inspired from watching Ozark where Marty comes in with a business model, although a money laundering model, that can be quickly applied to any business. That's sort of the level I want to get to...legally of course. I emailed my school to see if they could issue me a graduate certificate for my project management courses. I think it will be helpful. I'm still deciding between the CAPM, PMP or PMI-PBA cert. If this idea jumps off, I'll go for the Six Sigma.

In r/LearnProgramming , this is a thread on resources that became free after covid and someone posted about a PM website that are giving away a lot of their content for free now. They have eBooks and lectures and courses if you want to see if there is anything noteworthy for you.

Free Product Management Resource Collection

(You may want to Google the company to determine their reputation and make sure it isn't a waste of time)

Also, here's another resource:

Thank you! I will check this out. I have resources to study, it's just a matter of finding direction. Not trying to get a certification that’s useless, I'm already scared my degree is useless :stopitslime:

That’s actually a good return, IMO. That means you essentially evened out and didn't over pay the government.

Are you single?Do you have other deductions?

Actually, i did some digging. I selected 2 for exemptions/allowances. So that takes less from my paycheck.

But yeah im single. I took some college credit last year, so i get some student deduction and I bumped it up to 447.

Right, but a large return without any deductions is usually indicative of overpayment to the government. Money that could have been in your paycheck, was being paid to them. I wouldn’t change anything if I were you, you’re right on target.

I requested a balance transfer for an 11.99% APR and no fee. Never did one before.

I was wondering about the Barclaycard Ring (had as low as 8.99%) but it looks like Barclays has stopped offering it. Edit, never mind they increased to 14.24%, not worth it anymore to deal with Barclays.

Are you saying you have a credit card with a balance that you're transferring to a different card at 11.99% and no fee? If so you can get a much cheaper rate, even as low as 0% for at least 12 months and perhaps a low fee, but often times not, depending on the card. If you're not trying to get a new card, call the company and see if they can give you a better deal.

I’m okay with it as is, 0% intro offers almost exclusively tend to be with getting a new card, which I’m not doing at the moment.

Ok. That's why I figured, it wasn't a new card. You can still call and ask for a better deal, especially if you've never did one before.

Knowing what you want is the hardest part.
Try looking at resumes and job postings for the position you want, and try to model off that.
