Nothing off the top of my head right now. Maybe in a couple of months bounce some things off of you about marketing ideas, and what’s seemed to work for you

But was interested in some of the challenges you all face on a weekly/monthly basis. Just curious

That is a vast question breh.

So many moving parts, to a business and depends on what part of the cycle you're in the business phase. The complications I experience vary from week to week. Some more pressing than others.

But overall something I didn't do with my first business was to find committed people that share the same idea and goals that I had. It seems trivial but it is necessary. The companies moral objectives or companies' ethos to me is super important. Your company needs to have business morals and objectives, not the fluff shyt in business plans I mean a solid moral belief that people will believe in so badly that they will work for you for no money because they believe in the goals that much.

As the company grows you will need to hire individuals to help your business grow. These individuals will need to follow or already have the same ethos that you and your company will have in the future. Set that from the beginning, and don't hire anyone that doesn't fit that moral ethos from the get-go cause you can hire any person to do the job. But by hiring the wrong person, they can and probably will rip the company to pieces in the future even if they are stellar at their job or skill set.

Without more info breh cant give you more concrete info on what you need to focus on or how to plan for it.

But congrats on travelling the road only exceptional individuals take.

I'd say as a small business you have to focus on direct sales and hiring staff to execute growth initiatives.

Too often people get caught up in hiring staff to maintain the biz then they try to grow the company themselves.

You need to clarify what exactly your challenges are so we can offer suggestions

I recommend @PewPew since he's in the same niche.
Appreciate the input. Hopefully in 3 months i can come back with some concrete concerns.

Appreciate the input as well. Right now for the trucking i just have one guy i pay on a 1099. Its pretty straight forward, and if he leaves i do the re-hiring process. The main issue is having access to capital, but im working with some guys to get the issue resolved. Im looking at getting some low interest unsecured lines of credit by July.

The second area im in is credit repair, personal & business funding for entrepreneurs. So if someone needs access to $$ to scale or fund their business, i can get them 50-100k in lines of credit to do what they need to do, and they only pay back what they use. I charge a 10% fee, but other guys i know charge 30%:ld:

With credit, right now im mainly focusing on getting the funding for myself, then ill focus on marketing it towards others. Some guys i know have recommended getting virtual assistants (VAs) but i dont think im at that point yet.

Has anyone in an Support/Operations/Engineer role transitioned into a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect role?

I actually got invited to a tech kickoff for Sales Engineers & Solutions Architects in my company because I assisted some of them internally on a big client project. I feel that there is a ceiling for Support and Operations and if I can get into a more consultant style role then I could crack 150k or 200k eventually.

Yes you are correct operations and support is very limited and to be honest low level type of work if you are in it and want to transition out of it it's best you step your technical skills up in your free time.my official job title is actually solutions architect the only problem is there is too much fukkery at my job

So I should explain that my role is more of a customer facing operations role. I get compensated very well between my base six figure salary, bonuses, and stocks. Thing is that there is only a certain earning potential level with this. One of my former colleagues and friend went from call center > Windows Admin > Oracle DBA (more troubleshooting) > Solution Architect and he was telling me that he's *too* technical for the role required because much of it is a confluence of interpersonal skills, project management, and customer relationship.

I'm a SME with a product I support and it's earned me a lot of visibility from some of the Sales Engineers / Solution Architects and some of the Site Reliability Engineers that are as not as technically knowledgeable on things like Docker and Kubernetes. I guess I will work on leveling up on my own should a position open up.

Sound like your friend has my job however luckily at my job we spend about 40% of our time on personal projects so I essentially do alot of BA/automation type of work in my team. I live in london and from the jobs i've seen here solutions architect and sales engineering jobs vary greatly only reason i recommend to up skills is so that you dont get pigeonholed. I think the way the tech industry is changing you pretty much HAVE to know at least 1 programming language or you will reach a ceiling. The real money from what i have seen is when you know some kind of programming regardless of what you do

For people with full time jobs who studied for A+ on their own, how long did it take from initially studying to passing the test?

My contract as a military officer is coming to an end and I’m back in mode. Haven’t been this focused since I was 18

I can’t emphasize enough how much you environment plays a role in your development/personal growth. My old friends and current coworkers don’t fit my future so I had to shift gears.

Being around like minded people who force you to level up has been a tremendous help. The conversations are different when people are picking up homes and semi trucks vs old friends who want to run the park on 2k

Of consistent studying? It took me 4 months.
There is a lot of memorization but professor messer + Mike Meyers + exam cram practice tests led me to high scores. Good luck!

Gonna do 2 hours of Security+ studing tonight. Will prob be distracted by my bf tomorrow. I'm starting to see Professor Messer in my dreams.
