My former manager's younger brother referred me to a large Financial company in NY for a role. The recruiter saw my resume and was like :gladbron:

Then she saw my home address and was like :hubie:

Apparently the role didn't have any allocation for a relocation stipend. I told her I had the resources to fund my own relocation.

She still said no since it was against company policy :francis:

From now on, I'll tell recruiters my family has a second residence in what ever metro area I'm applying to.

I'm a Naija boy, we know how to thug things out :yeshrug:

I’ve been watching her videos heavy lately. She’s bad as hell, has a world of knowledge and got what seems to be a lucrative business and brand. I hope I can reach some degree of where she is soon...I’m definitely a lot more determined and hungry to see what’s out there for me.

Let me get these 5 certs, drop about 60 pounds, and get my locs started and dope make up. Bout to be the flyest fluffy hacker y’all know :wow:

I was trying to by a Call today but Schwab didn't allow me. Said I can't purchase Naked Puts.

What platform are you using?
Nowadays I am fully invested in diversified ETFs so I just check my balances across platforms via Personal Capital.

When I was trading more frequently, I used ThinkorSwim (via TD Ameritrade) and OptionHouse (via eTrade).

As for Naked Puts. Did they say you couldn't but them or you couldn't sell them? Naked log calls/puts are level 1 option trading so you should be able to do that. If you have an existing positiong and were adding a leg, that's different tho...

The people that got the boot at my company got 3 months full pay as severance.

One of the chicks that got the boot was actually pretty happy about it. She was already interviewing with different companies and was pretty close to putting in her 2 weeks notice anyway.

I know the best time to find a job is when you already have one, but I can imagine you can get more traction if your 9-5 was only looking for new roles, especially if you're getting 3 months pay and you didn't have to touch your savings.

I’m at a point now where if I got laid off today, I would get 3 months severance. Which is very comfortable to know that I wouldn’t have to touch savings for a minute while I figure out my next job. I’m ready for a new gig anyway.

It might be a a hell of a bonus. :manny:

Or he doesn't want to quit until he gets all his money. :ehh:
Nah his bonus hits at the same time mine do. I think I remember asking him where he works, and I think it was the same company as me :patrice:.

I actually think I'll apply to B-school this year for the class of 2023 (matriculate Sept 2021). My UG GPA is terrible but I can sort of make up for that with the GMAT. If I don't get into my target schools for c/o 2023, then I'll go again for c/o 2024 and look to "fill out" my professional profile in that year.

Gonna apply round 1 as well. Lol, that means I got 9 months to go :russ:

For those that went to Bschool, what did you do in between your acceptance and matriculation? From what I've seen, the time can be as much 9 months. Did you do like a "pre-MBA" internship? Did you stay at your current job, travel, etc?
