Being aggressively recruited for a job that I'd have to relocate outside of DC for two months.

A little nervous about being in a new state for two months but it'd be a huge pay increase + job title change. Still applying for other jobs.

In other news, I have a cute phone case idea that middle school/high school girls would love but not sure how profitable it'd be.

Idk how old you are, but you should jump. Change is one of the only constants in life. Plus the DC market is a robust market and is really diversifying outside of its government niche.

We'll be waiting for you at the next DMV Coli Meet Up :salute:

First world problems...there's going to be a desk/office reshuffle in the next 3 months because my company's west coast office is closing...and they are being relocated to my building...my manager says to me "don't get too attached to your office"...unfortunately i lack the seniority to make an argument to keep my office regardless of my pay grade...i may have to go back to the cubicle life :unimpressed:....first world problems

well i will be losing my office...tomorrow i go back into the cubicle life...even after the salary bumps and all...couldn't save my office....now i cant close doors when i need to focus or when i simply want to watch something on youtube as im running scripts, testing functionality, or writing up requirements....:unimpressed:..at least its a big cubicle in the corner

How do you guys deal with juggling work and personal development? Currently having a hard time doing as as after work im just :deadrose: and me not liking the job already makes it worse. Unfortunately people actually work at my job so i cant spend down time on personal development
I make sure that I do my 8-9 hours and no more unless its an urgent issue(critical system down causing a patient care issue). Then after I get back from the gym I, I either do some reading or some labbing depending on what I am working on.

Those few times I actually go into the office, I just put my headphones and tune everyone out. Doesn't stop people from coming to me for stuff but at least I don't have to deal with being dragged into random gossip.

Do it before work. If you get up at 3-5am. You'll have ample time to read and even go to the gym or pray or meditate.

I find it’s good to do planning/reading in the morning. After work is good for me to study or do research or do development work.

But yea, that morning wake, prayer and agenda planning is underrated.

Interesting take. I've always done my planning the previous day.

I've been here in lichenstein for the past few weeks doing some consulting for one the largest programmatic Advertising media
companies in the world. Off course, the security here is tight as a clams ass but the scenery is sublime.

They don't know I've been building a database of advertisers and contacts in their Rolodex for a future play .

My biggest gripe here is the lack of urgency in terms of implementation.
I don't know how you corporate brehs deal with the redtape nonsense.
