Just started to work with Airwatch MDM 6 months ago. I learned alot of admin level knowledge . I can build the organizational infrastructure that mobile devices use to be managed.

I got curious and applied for an admin role and within a week a got a job making $45 an hour. I started last week. Highest before that was $27 an hour.

It was easy stuff to learn too.

I got an A+ cert in 2012 when I first got into IT but it expired a few years ago. Experience is what most companies usually care about not certs.

Don't think coding or networking is only way to go. There's tons of IT options that pay alot

That's what I like to see man, props!

Always shoot out of your league for jobs, you can catch up in the first couple weeks when they are training you and filling you in on your role
I say this as well. A lot of times, once you learn the tools of navigating and ability to add value, you can learn any job

I get knocked for saying that. But as long as you have some knowledge and understanding you can easily do a job that involves training.

I've done this without fail for half my jobs.

But let's not act like navigating and adding value in white circle or non Black circles is easy. It is hard. Extremely hard.

It's takes understanding white communications, white supremacy, white thought processing, Black thought processing, networking, confidence, social mobility and the gift of gab to a degree.

Me neither, I stay within my subject expertise. I think I am one of the best in the world at it.
Oh yea I only go for the roles I usually work just sometimes I go for roles that require more experience or knowledge then I have.

What subject expertise ??

Contract. It was a week cuz they were desperate to fill the spot. My background check didn't even clear before I started

that's slightly more than I'm gonna be making, except I'm full time. :salute:

last recruiter that called me (mind you this is after I already have an offer in place and they wanted me to do similar work like what I'm going to do), I told them I wouldn't consider working for less than $60/hr. I just threw out an astronomical number in order to see how serious they were.

also, if you're not gonna pay me benefits, I need to get paid a whole lot more to make up for that.
