You need to have documented experience before you are eligible to have a CISSP. You also need to have a sponsor that already has one.

Thought it was a regular cert

Bout to get on this shyt. Need to get out of this damn job.Was gonna get my A+ but talked to my cousin who suggested I get a Security+ instead
My book came in today
Finally time to start this career change bruhs
Would any of y'all like to work on some projects together and learn together?
Google CloudHow can we do this?
Wish me luck, I'm about to start over and try to get a A+ cert. 13 years in retail management and they pushing me me to run my own store, but I can't do it.
So A+ for dummies it is...
Can u do both? Til u get a few more certs?
Best of luck to you.Wish me luck, I'm about to start over and try to get a A+ cert. 13 years in retail management and they pushing me me to run my own store, but I can't do it.

Any issues with these two?
The cert test is done by comptia so they should be legit.
I did a for dummies version but I knew zero when I started.
Just started to work with Airwatch MDM 6 months ago. I learned alot of admin level knowledge . I can build the organizational infrastructure that mobile devices use to be managed.
I got curious and applied for an admin role and within a week a got a job making $45 an hour. I started last week. Highest before that was $27 an hour.
It was easy stuff to learn too.
I got an A+ cert in 2012 when I first got into IT but it expired a few years ago. Experience is what most companies usually care about not certs.
Don't think coding or networking is only way to go. There's tons of IT options that pay alot
How do you get your foot in the door though? That's my problem...yes experience is great but how do you get it with entry level asking for experience?
I lied about my experience in the beginning
But if the job is entry level it shouldn't be hard to disguise that lie.
If I kept it 100 in all my interviews I'd have almost none of those roles. Keep it 70% and it won't blow up in your face.
