Hopefully the business behind the scenes gets done, because it's obvious both fighters want this fight. Painfully obvious.
And I'm optimistic it will happen
And when it does, I have to come clean, the more skilled fighter is gonna win. They usually do in mega bouts. And Bud is the more skilled fighter without a doubt.
It's gonna be a tall task to see how Spence would be able to work his way on the inside, because Crawford's foot movement, lateral quickness, and counter punching all combined into one fighter is something Spence hasn't seen. The closest to that, was Porter, and Crawford is a clean level above that.
He won't just default to standing in the middle of the ring with a high guard as Ugas did last night, and as alot of Spences competition has. That is literally the single biggest recipe for disaster against a fighter like Spence. Who has the most elite inside game in 147 for sure, and possibly the sport as a whole.
Bud is usually slow out the gate, so how effective Spence is at working the body in the early rounds will be a major factor in dictating how the rest of the fight goes.
Of course, any thing can happen in there, and Bud can get caught up in a machismo battle with Spence, but styles make fights. I just don't think this is a good style for Spence. I would have Crawford UD
