No VADA testing in one of the highest profile championship unification bouts of 2022? :picard:

Can you imagine if Canelo didn’t test for one of his title matches right now? They’d be a 10 page thread on here by now. :gucci:

But no one seems to notice. No one seems to care. Predictable though. Coli hater clowns never keep the same energy :francis:

Both fighters agreed on it man. Stop it with this shyt man Canelo got caught red handed it is what it is. He tainted his career with that shyt. I don’t see Errol or Ugas complaining that there’s no vada testing. We usually see one party pushing for it if they suggest the fighter is cheating.

I mean they both agreed to it so :yeshrug:.....but definitely weird for such a high profile fight these days. They should definitely come out and confirm if there's testing or not. Spence been lookin sickly as hell since the accident.

Ugas Confirms He Had Surgery To Repair Torn Left Biceps Following Pacquiao Fight

The WBA “super” welterweight champion confirmed to BoxingScene.com, though, that the arm injury that caused such an uproar the day before they fought required surgery after Ugas upset the Filipino legend by unanimous decision in their 12-round, 147-pound title fight. Ugas’ torn left biceps, which occurred before their bout began, was repaired during that post-fight procedure.

The 35-year-old Ugas needed a few months off to recuperate, but he has been completely healthy while preparing at trainer Ismael Salas’ gym in Las Vegas for his upcoming showdown with Errol Spence Jr. on April 16 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“The injury was something that had been bothering me for about three weeks [before the Pacquiao fight],” Ugas told BoxingScene.com. “But look, I was a hundred-percent recovered for the fight. It was not an impediment, nothing that prevented me from fighting the way I wanted to fight. Having said that, after the fight I also did have surgery. Now it’s totally healed and I’m not worried about it.”

Fans and reporters pointed out a protrusion from Ugas’ left arm the day he stepped on the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s scale to weigh in to battle Pacquiao in a FOX Sports Pay-Per-View main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Any concerns regarding Ugas’ ability to compete with what appeared to be an arm injury were quelled early in a bout that the Cuban-born boxer won on all three scorecards (116-112, 116-112, 115-113).

Miami’s Ugas replaced Spence as Pacquiao’s opponent on just 11 days’ notice.

Spence pulled out of his highest-profile fight because he needed surgery to repair a torn left retina he suffered while preparing to fight Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs). An aged Pacquiao, who is now 43, retired following his loss to Ugas to focus on his presidential campaign in the Philippines.

Spence (27-0, 21 KOs), of DeSoto, Texas, and Ugas (27-4, 12 KOs) will fight for Spence’s IBF and WBC welterweight titles and Ugas’ WBA belt in a Showtime Pay-Per-View main event at the home stadium of the Dallas Cowboys. Caesars Sportsbook has installed Spence as more than a 4-1 favorite versus Ugas.

Spence is in great shape. I think the game plan is going to be smothering Ugas and not giving him the space and leverage to throw or extend the right hand. I guess I’ll watch the Ugas open workout now.
Ugas said he wants a war. I think he plans to stand his ground and go shot for shot. Spence is coming off a bad eye injury and been inactive for 15 months. The ring rust is gonna be there so it's not the worst idea to make him work early. Target that eye and see how he responds.

The Danny fight is the first fight I seen Spence fade down the stretch. He was getting hit way too clean in the later rounds. His stamina gotta be on point for this one. If Spence can dominate ugas and stop him I'll have to reassess my Spence-Bud prediction.

Thats a dumb ass plan .
He should simply try to move and out point him early while tapping the body and trying to get his timing.
If the opportunity presents itself late, sure test his eye and chin, but to plan to stand and trade against a younger, bigger, faster, stronger man is the height of hubris and machismo and exceptionally dumb.

I wouldn't worry about rust, kid. The work is done in the gym. Spence looks ultra sharp.
