The rare times I hear negative things about any hip hop artist are from people who don't like the genre and reflect how they feel about the music in general, and the artist they dislike is usually the personification of all that they dislike about the genre. Ehich is cool.

I understand why people don't like certain things, because funnily enough there are many things that I don't like. Its called taste.

To read delusional unsustainable reactionary inflammatory remarks on an actual hip hip forum is kinda ass backwards.

But OP is obviously mentally ill and missed their daily meds. Peace

He's a C+ student doing his thing against the backdrop of a bunch of D/F level classmates.

Of course the C+ dude is going to shine when the A/B students are absent:yeshrug:

But I understand that the new generation is eager to create their own legends.I say let em eat....but don't go trying to belittle the Gods just to build your guy up.

Out here in my damn drawls
Most annoying? :duck:

But they are the most condescending next to Ye stans. They remind me nikkas that went to jail, read some old books, get out and try to kick knowledge to people who've already been reading their whole lives :skip:

If you know anything about Hip-Hop or music in general, you'd know Kendrick is far from the first person to explore themes involving black empowerment, self-worth, etc. If you let his stans tell it, Kendrick started the Black Panthers and he was a ghost writer for James Baldwin or some other goofy shyt

If you have any gripe with Kendrick's music, that means you don't understand it and you're stupid and you're not pro-black, whatever whatever

They give him way too much credit for being in a weak era of hip-hop, but even still, there are people in this generation of music that do what he does and say what he says better than he does sometimes, but those artists aren't as visible as he is. Fans don't know what they want. They're tired of mainstream artists but the won't support an artist unless he's at Kendrick's level. It's like they don't understand that artists come to prominence through fan support.........unless they're industry plants :mjpls:

Anyway, from his interviews that I've watch, he seems like a sma------ nevermind :manny:

Nah
Adding to what OP said, I don't understand how anyone could even consider someone the best at something when they haven't had any formidable opponents. He had the option of battling any of the rappers that responded to that over-hyped "Control" verse, but he didn't. Instead he threw some subliminals in that weak ass BET Cypher.

Bottom line is buddy ain't built for that action, yet people seem to still hold him in high regard which puzzles me because all of the greats have had some type of battle where they've went back and forth directly on wax. Yet he hasn't.

You can't call someone the GOAT or even a potential GOAT if they don't even have the balls to battle shyt out. :rudy:

Thats funny because for the past three weeks there's been a "TPAB is wack" thread on the front page but I dont see any threads praising Kendrick on the front page :sas2:

"I hate rap, I'm more of a Slipknot Metallica type of guy myself. Not into noise about fukking girls, doing drugs, and material possessions, you know, I'm in to real music. That's why I'm an Eminem fan. He raps about things that I can connect to and isn't like these average everyday gangster rappers who talk about the same thing in every song. He's also lyrically and technically better than every rapper that's ever been. Have you guys heard rap god? There's not a single rapper out there touching that. So keep your young fags and lil gaynes and I'll keep listening to real music."

I say this in every anti-kenny thread. I honestly don't see how you as a black man/women in America can hate on something like Kendrick. I don't see how you can hate on music that's put out there to inspire and keep you strong through this hell we going through. Is kinda sad really, how so many people would cape for people like that Drake that literally make nothing to move our culture forward, Nothing to empower us, you give money to a guy that could give 1 fukk about you, same with Lil Waye,Young Thug, even Kanye sometimes. I feel sorry for anyone that goes against Kendrick's message, like you can not like the music because it doesn't resonate well with you, but for you to attack his message, and saying that is wack/corny is the highlight of why we blacks can never push forward, we advocate for the wrong people.

It should be obvious that people don't like him because they were already trying to bring up the culture, then this guy comes along and starts doing whatever he's doing, and all you stans come around saying shyt like the people before him dropped the ball. I don't need some 28 year old guy trying to teach me shyt about morals. Especially when he started off trying to be a commercial dude

What pisses me off about Kendrick is he's trying to cope the whole Black Socialist Revolutionary style, like Hov did. "I'm doin it for ch'all haha"
In 10 years when Kendrick has a mansion, and you're all stuck in Watts, like the Wu Stans the Hov Stans, even the Native Tongue stans, and you realize he's on Aftermath which is owned by UMG, it just makes the world/culture sadder and I don't think that's right

kendrick's stanbase is mostly made up of brainwashed internet kids & blog/forum fanatics who are all disenfranchised & looking to feel like theyre apart of the next big thing since theyre always late on the REAL organic movements.

its pretty sad actually.

the labels geesed all these dudes and str8 took advantage.
