I don't disagree but I floated the idea last night that the triple threat would be a "here damn...." main event program for Punk (and Rollins).

Roman was likely penciled in to face The Rock this year but who knows when/if that was changed.

-CM Punk in real life and story line wants to be in a main event at WM
-Rollins is Triple H's main company man, no way he's not gonna be in something prominent.
-Roman is obviously not gonna do WM either if he's not in a match with star power
I don’t like to hate, but Jey winning the rumble and the rock not being on the card really threw a wrench into a lot of other people’s possible matches.

Cena winning the rumble to tie Austin’s record for rumble wins and getting pummeled by Gunther at wrestlemania causes him to crash out and then sell out. We get heel Cena and title 17 during his retirement run still. Cena losing last night and facing Drew at wrestlemania could’ve been great too. We need that to happen badly before the year is up. Punk wins the chamber and challenges Cody for the title and he finally headlines wrestlemania after they dropped the ball on him going on last from 2011-13. Roman facing Seth speaks for itself but it’s clear they’ve wanted Roman vs Rock for about a decade now. They’ve also been teasing Cody vs Randy since last spring and we still don’t know what Sami is doing either. Storyline it almost doesn’t make sense for him to even be cleared to wrestle this year.

It’s weird that for the second year in a row Roman feels like a third wheel :gucci:
Roman and Punk almost both feel like the third wheel right now to Seth going off the rails since that’s the real story there. They were both more or less minding their own business and he keeps sticking his beak in and getting more and more unhinged just like what happened with Drew in late 2023.

A little over 12 hours later, and I still can’t believe what happened, this now opens up so many possibilities.

- Stone Cold returning to side with Cody against Cena and Rock

- Rock went from “3” to “2” when the heel turn happened. Is Roman the “1”?

- Cena hasn’t been heel in 20+ years, the first promo live is gonna be crazy

- Heel Cena v Face Orton

- Heel Cena v Face Punk

- Heel Cena demolishing Rey Mysterio

- R Truth heel turn to be like his idol?

It’s rare to do a turn of this magnitude where it changes the landscape of the company, and it happened last night. Hunter you lowkey prejudice son of a bytch, you got me interested, im IN
Roman was just a heel, I don't see him turning again for a minute. Plus it makes more sense for him to feud with Rock than join him.

Heel Cena vs. Face Roman is definitely a possibility this year.

Drake pulled up on the right night to observe

Jade came out of that looking incredible.. the actual match was good, Liv's star shone again and Bianca is back were she belongs.
I always felt Rhea should've been the Edge to Bianca's Cena but years on both are box office and I'm glad we're finally getting it.

Sami and KO was fire. no notes.

the mens Chamber match was odd but fun. the Cena and Punk stuff felt kind of cartoonish but it makes sense for what was to come later.
Seth stopping Punk from winning, Cena finishing the match very heel-like and Seth shouting die to Punk was funny as hell

and then obviously what we got from Cena, Cody, Rock and................... Travis.

just enthralling and entertaining. loved it.

only somewhat negative thing I came away from it was that Jay and Gunther shouldn't be a main event.
I loved that its going top off four plus years of transforming Jey into a top guy but Rhea/Bianca and a Reigns/Rollins/Punk triple threat sounds more appealing to me as main events.

that Rollins/Punk/Reigns triple threat will def work. Roman won't win and still not being able to finally satisfy urge of getting back at Seth and it will lead us into Punk/Roman and Heyman storyline.

When watching Sami/KO last night and then the Orton/KO exchange post match. It got me thinking is KO when you put it altogether from look character wrestling style and mic skills hes a Cactus Jack/Stone Cold hybrid for this generation. :jbhmm:
I wanna do a deep dive on this one day, but the “Everyman” gimmick is essential for wrestling, and there should be at least 1 guy/girl successfully doing it in every company

Everyman is someone who is deeply relatable to the audience who also doesn’t have the typical star look of your Rocks, HHH, Roman, etc. The crowd can logically see themselves in their position due to how they look, act, and talk. Foley and Austin were your guys in the 90s and early 00s, KO and Sami has been it for the 10s and 20s

So Cena's gonna turn heel and be back when? The European tour where hes advertised?

This why this shocking turn is gonna wear off if hes not around doing promos for tv

No it won't, And let's not act like morons wouldn't be saying that it's starting to get stale if he is around regularly.

Yeah he need some Stone Cold beating Lita ass type heat segments to solidify this shyt. Somebody said it but him beating the shyt outta RTruth is a start:russ:

They definitely laying the groundwork for that already lol. R truth changed his Twitter header and profile pic asking John why.

Yeah but a triple threat doesn’t settle any of those rivalries. Think about every memorable triple threat match. There’s a title up for grabs or a shot at one as the prize.

Jericho vs Benoit vs Angle: IC & European titles on the line in both falls

HHH vs HBK vs Benoit: world heavyweight title

Angle vs HHH vs Rock: WWF title

Rock vs Angle vs Taker: undisputed title

Edge vs Benoit vs HHH 2004: world heavyweight title and its finish set up the elimination chamber at new years revolution which set Batista’s main event push and face turn in motion

Angle vs Randy vs Rey: world heavyweight title

Seth vs Cena vs Brock: undisputed title

Roman vs :bryan: vs Edge: universal title

Gunther vs Drew vs Sheamus: IC title

This is on my mind too. It seems like an obvious thing that cashing in said favor should set up the eventual Roman vs Punk match and they shouldn’t be opponents in a proper match besides the rumble before that happens.
My biggest fear... They gonna do something corny like winner gets Heyman :whoa:
