You right. I like the payoff I think that’s why I prefer watching shows week to week instead of binging tooTriple H books things very slowly, but once you get to the payoff it’s damn good![]()
Obviously improvement is still needed but an exciting road to mania to come
Maybe the favor is the winner makes Cena vs. Cody a triple threat.I think that match is a waste for all 3 of them unfortunately. It just doesn’t make sense to do it right now. Roman vs Punk is a big match that needs a proper build and all we have right now is Roman is shocked and hurt that Punk “betrayed him” in the royal rumble match by eliminating him because he’s a dumbass who forgot how the royal rumble match works (Roman even eliminated Seth and Dean in his first rumble match and threw up theat them when they gave him the
after he did it). Punk vs Seth happened just 2 months ago and Punk won clean so there isn’t much reason to keep it going like how Punk vs Drew at summerslam had a messy finish. Roman vs Seth is a big match that needs to happen on its own too, especially since their only 1 on 1 match in the last 8-9 years was at the rumble in 2022 which had a dq finish and their issues are not even close to finished either.
Whoever wins this hypothetical match doesn’t settle their issues with either guy in all likelihood and whoever is not involved in the decision is just left more or less as the third wheel. Eventually one of them fades out from the rivalry while 2 settle their issues on their own kinda like how Seth had to disappear from Punk vs Drew after summerslam. The match will be great but triple threat matches as the payoff to a program really only work if there’s a title or a shot at the title up for grabs.
The direction that would’ve made more sense was Punk calls in the favor that Heyman owes him, which is Roman shows up to cost Seth and maybe Cena in the chamber match. Then Cena sells out which gives us Punk vs Cody vs Cena as the main event and now there’s a wide open lane for Roman vs Seth.
You might be onto somethingMaybe the favor is the winner makes Cena vs. Cody a triple threat.
Cody vs. Heel Cena is fun a program, but it doesn't leave much to the suspension of the imagination for a guy that was won a single match in like 5 years.
We gonna have to make it clear (well at least me)There's likely 12-14 spots for matches between both nights
Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena
Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk
Bianca vs. Rhea
Gunther vs. Jey Uso
Tiffany vs. Charlotte
Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest
Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
Bron Breakker vs. AJ Styles
Jade Cargill vs. Naomi
That's already 9 matches right there...
Maybe the favor is the winner makes Cena vs. Cody a triple threat.

When posters during wrestlemania weekend are like “why was this wrestler left off the card”
I literally don’t care brehs fukk the wrestlers who don’t make it
Nah that'd be terrible. Plus, it's quite obvious that this Punk/Rollins thing been cooking for a minute and Reigns is involved as well
My only question is how Paul Heyman has the pull character-wise to do that? I guess managing Rock’s cousin has its perks but why would Rocky agree to that? Just wondering how far this “favor” could go for Punk.Maybe the favor is the winner makes Cena vs. Cody a triple threat.
The favor in that situation only would have made sense if Punk was going ‘corporate.’
Would be a waste if he’s just inserted onto the match.
Plus, why would Rock allow that kayfabe wise?
I'm starting to wonder if the favor has been either scrapped or something they are kicking down the road. It seemed like it definitely had something to do with Roman or the title but now I don't know.
