I just started thinking about Cody's place in history. It's really really rare for a babyface these days to have this type of run with very little pushback from the fans.
Cody came back and had a "banger" with Seth at WM 38
Then he main evented with Reigns at WM 39
Then he main evented with Reigns and "finished the story" at WM 40
Now he's main eventing WM 41 with a heel Cena.
Cody is one of the biggest babyfaces in WWE history at this point. He's surpassed Backlund. He's up there with HitGOAT and Bruno.
