whats REALLY stupid, as i already stated, is to look at that vastness and think that theres a god who created men in his image (out of 7239847284729437 species on this 1 planet out of 7487498478947 planets), and dikked around with certain men on earth to test their devotion

as far as the idea of a creator, the ONLY reason that bullshyt is in your head is because of the jesus myths and other similar bullshyt.

if you can at least admit that your need for a cosmic father figure springs from those myths, then i'll concede that there might be one as far as we know

"observable universe", you know why i think we will never be able to fathom how massive our universe is? We are atoms ourselves. Imagine a single atom in your own body hosting an entire universe.

You'd be right.

What does the fruit fly know of the tanaid? And that's just on one planet.

This is us.

Even with our supergeniuses there will be ways of contemplating and mapping the universe and world we live in that we will never comprehend. We are not equipped, and will never be equipped to understand just how big things really are.

That is all the more reason to leave this planet, those things are only going to get worse as the population grows and resources become more scarce. We will never fix this planet, we will never fix the problems here and waiting around to do so before deciding to leave will be the death of us Guess you never heard of Penguins breh, they live almost half their life in water or mudskippers that crawl onto land If the human race survives long enough, it will leave earth....

You'll only drag the problems from here to wherever you go. What you think me you and the homies are gonna take that flight? Or will it be our leaders (who are responsible for the way the world is if we're being honest) that spearhead that trek? I go with the latter. Thus the same problems we're facing here will be brought with us wherever we go if we just try to ignore them or run away from them. Theres no overpopulation problem. Theres no resource problem. There is a GREED problem which again, will just be dragged along with us to wherever we hypothetically went. So even if it was possible to go to the heavens and live there without God, you'd still be dealing with the same problems as we do on earth.

And I dont know what a mudskipper is but penguins cannot LIVE underwater from my understanding. They may take a trek down there, but they're not going there and setting up shop like you're suggesting we should/can do in space. We're here for a reason and thats how its going to be. This is where humans were made to be. Sure all this star trek stuff is interesting and appealing, but its not going to happen. You cant run away from the problems you created breh (not you specifically but you get my drift).
