What's also fascinating to think about: given how puny our sun is compared to other suns... it comes to reason that some forms of sentient life out there may actually tower over us, literally, like titans or giants.. or on the flip side, they could be the size of smurfs :dead:

Like if one of those humongous ass stars had a similarly proportioned planet just the perfect distance away from it that it could have a similar formation/evolution as our earth... there could be some giant ass human versions of us.

Tho that's not even taking into account appearances, like how their body would have evolved or adapted to the bacteria on their planet, or what would happen if they (or any creature/animal/alien/human) would be exposed to another planet's habitat.

:mjcry:

never even thought of this shyt that way bruh :mjcry:

Everything you said was just your opinion.
The fact is the only known life is on earth the fact is outta all the life on earth we are on top.

"No Mere Meteorite: The last great global extinction event occurred following the impact of the 15-kilometre-wide Chicxulub asteroid. While mankind has long had the capability, with nuclear weapons, to unleash a holocaust similar to that which wiped dinosaurs from the face of the Earth, it is the unwitting, at least initially, alteration of the atmosphere through fossil fuel burning that is responsible for the currently unfolding extinction episode.

There's absolutely no way there isn't a life form out there. I simply refuse to believe out those trillions of galaxies, only one Galaxy can support life. And even in that one galaxy, only one planet supports life.

I really wish we would find a life form somewhere during my lifetime. It would probably be the biggest thing to happen to mankind ever and I want to be alive when it happens.

Bruh they prolly done found other life already. They not gonna tell us. Google the Greada treaty with president Eisenhower , shyt real

Actually there is a resource problem, the oceans will be fished dry by 2050, that is the primary source of food for half the worlds population right now. You're talking philosophical shyt, I'm talking about the reality of the situation which is we will never fix problems here because some of those problems are a direct result of our nature. The best we can do is to spread our population around so that we never face extinction and can evolve to a point where those problems may no longer exist.

Your point about Penguins....

They spend more of their time in the ocean than they do land :mjpls: A mudskipper is a fish that lives on land as well, they have adapted to their surroundings, like we should and adapt to the space all around us that is basically limitless. Just because we're made for this environment doesn't mean we can't adapt to others, I mean stop and think about this, we're literally 1 asteroid/comet away from going bye bye as a species. Don't put all your eggs in one basket breh, the universe is a harsh place and we should spread out to other planets to insure the human race.

Its really not philosophical though. If I wanted to get philosophical about it, I'd point out the simple fact of the situation that God/ the universe (not suggesting they're the same) is not going to allow humans to freely travel. The way things are set up from our vantage point proves that. And the problems here will just follow us (hypothetically) wherever we go. Simply put, there are limitations to humanity. We are not limitless. And one of these limitations (among death being CERTAIN) is that we're not going to be able to travel the heavens freely. As humans that is
:mjpls:

Im not sure how that number concerning penguins could be true. Because from what I've read they can only be underwater anywhere from 6-20 minutes. So how are they spending that high of a percentage of their time in water if they can only be underwater for that short period of time? Im not sure but it doesnt matter anyways. Because the differences between SPACE and EARTH are far more vast then the differences between land and water. There are alot more variables to deal with concerning the universe than water.

Of course we can keep going back and forth with each side repeating their take on things but I think its pretty simple. Its not going to happen lol. You can run, but you cant hide. One day humanity will be forced to pay for what it has done to this earth if we dont change directions. And with the take you have that we should "run" to avoid paying for it, well, I think we'll just end up continuing to damage the earth till something big happens to us. Whether that "big" event comes from us, or from "nature" remains to be seen.

i agree

what i have a problem with is this extremely vague "there must be SOME creator" bullshyt that clearly stems from religion.

I disagree. The fact religion even exists, is because of order. Meaning people saw order to our existence, and thought that there must be some type of being that set this order into place.

maybe there is a creator; i just have a hard time believing he made man in his image :beli::heh: that force would be WAY beyond our comprehension, so why bother wasting time with it :yeshrug: imo of course

Just because God is beyond our comprehension doesnt mean He cannot relate Himself to us in ways we can understand. :kanyeshrug:

To me, it would be more of a question of "why would God bother wasting time with us" then the other way around. We need Him more than He needs us but as you said, that is my opinion as well.

I don't buy that. How can we know what others are thinking, when we don't officially ascribe to them the ability to think in the first place?

yeah imagination appears to be a uniquely human attribute
and with imagination comes delusion

many humans do imagine they are more important than other forms of life
I really see no proof of that

we are born
we eat/grow/piss+shyt/fukk+reproduce/age+decay+die
just like all forms of life

the difference is human imagination interjects non existent meaning into these actions
many imagine life eternal and things of that nature etc.

why would humans be the only life form to live forever?¿?¿?¿
an endless cycle of eat/piss/shyt/sleep/fukk leading to what?¿?¿?¿

everything ends
every star every planet
every atomic bond broken
just accept it everything ends*

dreams of escaping to distant stars and planets
what do you do when this ENTIRE galaxy dies :mjlol:*

death is a part of nature and it is apart of everything
no running away
no matter how many lightyears you travel:camby:

human imagination:umad:*

1) Aren't Mars and Earth virtually the same size? Shouldn't Mars be the same size as Earth and Venus if the real fifth planet hadn't exploded by an unknown force, hit Mars, created Mons Olympus and wiped out its atmosphere?

2) If Jupiter ignited into the sun it was meant to be, how much smaller than the sun would it still be?

3) Jesus Christ, those last suns are huge. That means they're a lot older than our sun, right? When will they collapse into black holes?

4) Why is Sirius white? Is it about to die?

To be honest, that's why I've always been fascinated with Galactus' origin story. It's some lowkey Twilight Zone 'be careful what you wish for' shyt. Will he finally find peace when this universe ends? Will he ever be able to accept death and get off the wheel, or is he too far gone?

galactus the cosmic equivalent of a dope fiend
existing to feed an appetite

in that way life is an addiction
we exist to fulfill appetites
physical mental etc.

scared of dying
