Great work, Washington Post and Los Angeles Times. Trump is cashing in on your cowardice.

[Quoted tweet]
Trump: You noticed The Washington Post and The LA Times, they’re not endorsing anybody. You know what they are really saying? They are saying this Democrat is no good and they think I'm doing a great job. They just don't want to say it.

It wasn’t cowardice it was an assist. It was crapping on their country and its people for money. It was capitalism.

We’re going to have to address this oligarch owned nightmare of a press in the aftermath. It’s become clear they have turned the American political arena into their own personal playground for influence. Their own pathway to collateral wealth at the expense of the taxpayer.

GOP FASCISM wins again, thanks to the corporate media control by American Oligarchs!

Companies are already planning to raise costs on Americans if Donald Trump wins.

This is what his national sales tax would look like. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2024/10/30/companies-tariffs-trump-prices/

Trump inherited an economy that was brought back from the brink and running at a high level in 2016.

2024 we are just clawing out of some of the worst inflation in decades. inflation will pick up and be worse under his watch with his policies. Interest rates will have to be raised higher than their peak in 2024.

Well then go ahead and do it. Make sure it stops immediately and not "phase it out gradually" so their buddies can make all their money first and run.

Let's see how that works out.

Just like immigration and deportation. Get em' out on Day one. But those Red states are gonna be crying over all that cheap labor they have in all those meat factories or coincidentally look the other way on deportation.

It won't pass just like last time
He also talked about dismantling the regulatory state. And while a president can't entirely eliminate regulatory agencies, they do have significant power to reshape and limit them through executive action and strategic appointments to crucial agencies. A president can issue executive orders to alter how regulations are enforced, leading to the cutting back of regulations seen as "excessive" or "economically burdensome." By appointing leaders to agencies like the EPA, OSHA, or FDA who prioritize a significantly reduced regulatory touch, the president can influence how rigorously these agencies enforce rules, which will lead to favoring corporate-friendly interpretations that reduce regulatory impact.

These approaches can extend to agencies like the NLRB and the Labor Department. By appointing leadership with an anti-regulatory stance, a president can weaken workplace safety standards, limit the protections for workers rights, and reduce the effectiveness of collective bargaining efforts, ultimately diminishing workers ability to advocate for better conditions. Reduced regulatory oversight can also mean that when corporations cut corners or cause harm, the burden of their failures and disasters falls more heavily on citizens, who may bear the economic and health costs of inadequate regulation.

Further, a president can propose budget cuts for specific agencies, indirectly limiting their capacity to enforce regulations. Through agency leadership, they can also influence the rule-making process, which includes rescinding or modifying existing regulations, though this requires a formal process and is subject to judicial review. And that is where his friendly SCOTUS and circuit courts comes in.

Now, you might look at all of this and say, "Well, that doesn’t amount to a complete dismantling," and I'll tell you it doesn’t have to; it still effectively restricts the reach and influence of the regulatory state, leading to serious repercussions for worker protections, public safety, and corporate accountability. This is not fearmongering. This is reality. What is it going to take for some of you to understand and take this seriously?

@ArtCandee
Wow!!!!

Elon Musk’s America PAC is evil.

Wired writes, “A number of them have been driven around in the back of a seatless U-Haul van, according to video obtained by WIRED, and threatened that their lodging at a local motel wouldn’t be paid for if they didn’t meet canvassing quotas. One door knocker alleges that they didn’t even know they were signing up for anything having to do with Musk or Trump.”
