Pandemic --->> Inflation

The fact that this still has to be explained... and the U.S. is doing far better than the rest of the world
Bro. You’re right. But that’s not how shyt works. It’s sad and sucks. But people only know what they can see and feel in the moment. The administration didn't do a good enough job meeting the people where they are as far as messaging. There are a bunch of reasons why that was, new media, Biden being an incredibly ineffective communicator, hate and mistrust of democrats and politics in general…

Watching the identity obsession shift to dems propping up wack white men (Newsom) is hilarious. That dude sucks. There are plenty of states with competent, good democrat governors who have maintained good economies and made everyday progress that helps everyday people. Whether they have 2028 potential or not, we know the states that are working (MI, PA, WI, MN, CO, etc). California isn't one of them. And frankly the failures of California and New York (and NJ) to improve people's lives and maintain a population are a big reason Trump won the popular vote. Something we all were laughing about a few weeks ago.
It’s vibes bro. We’re thinking about this as some 4-D equation but it’s not that serious for the average American. The average voter liked Trump’s swag and charisma. That’s why he won period. Other than the racists, they don’t even know what his policy is other than immigration and economy.

Gavin has the swag to be president. If we lived in a sane, educated society then yes he would lose but Gavin is the type of dude that would go on Joe Rogan, Theo Von and those other low info right wing podcasts and get them to agree with him on his ideas

If Gavin or Shapiro comes out of this next cycle as the governor who stood up to fascism then it’ll be their nomination to lose unfortunately

The cacs on r/self are going crazy. I’m sure it’s either Russian bots or Maga disguising themselves are liberals. But, I’m tired of the excuses. The real issue is Americans are dumb and will vote against their own self interests. All the hoopla about dems not catering to the working class, young men, etc is BS. And offering solutions for the previously mentioned will not fix the actual problem. It will only continue to allow fascism to be a threat. This quote by H.L. Mencken still runs true over a century later: “As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”

Look no further than the people of Cali voting against rent control and raising the minimum wage and pegging it to COL.

Im like :hubie:

Crime and trans and homelessness would tank him beyond a debate

What do you think about the conspiracy theory that vote was hacked?

Come on fam. What is this, 2004 redux lol. Did Kenneth Blackwell do it again.
:dead:

Was I shocked by the results? Yes. Are they weird in the context of what I thought would happen? Yes. But the thing I and many people weren't talking about ended up mattering most: costs, and perceptions of costs. Inflation has fallen all year and it didn't matter. Consumer spending is red hot, wages are up, and people are still peeved every time they order fast food that used to cost $10 and it's $15.

From my vantage point, grocery prices have been back to normal for awhile. But I don't have three kids and a wife so perhaps my perspective is different from a family buying a bunch of shyt.
