There is no left in America. Whatever remnants of it died with MLK. What MLK had was relatability and understanding of his community. Before the Civil Rights movement, the left was factory workers, union workers, etc. The people pushed the politicians. Now it’s people following politicians who have no incentive to do anything.

There are plenty of states with competent, good democrat governors who have maintained good economies and made everyday progress that helps everyday people. Whether they have 2028 potential or not, we know the states that are working (MI, PA, WI, MN, CO, etc). California isn't one of them. And frankly the failures of California and New York (and NJ) to improve people's lives and maintain a population are a big reason Trump won the popular vote. Something we all were laughing about a few weeks ago.
