I think some of y'all are underestimating just a little bit on how much debt the average American is carrying be that student loans or credit cards etc..

Yes, restaurants are packed. Yes, vacation spots are packed. Because many people have decided to go into debt to get what they want out of life and deal with the consequences later on.

The average American doesn't have shyt in savings. You might say "well, if they were more frugal the high prices on goods wouldn't affect them as much" and that might be true but many have chose to spend money on vacations even when they struggle putting food on the table.

Definitely is what's keeping it churning. I just point out when people are being disingenuous about the economy. Like a coworker of mines that complains about the price of food and gas but he just bought an 80k Expedition with a payment that's more than his mortgage. I also know chics that gripe as well but they're spending $700-800 a month just on hair, nails, lashes, etc. People have money for their wants and buy it without hesitation. But when their needs are on the table that's when they're price conscious lol

I hear you, but if they stop doing those things then what? The hair dressers don’t get paid so they stop going out to eat. So now the waitresses stop going on vacation. So now the flight attendants stop going to the movies and so on and so forth. We need people to have money so they can spend it.

Someone in here said it the most succinctly a couple days ago. Majority of people aren’t starving, but they’re very annoyed that they’re making the most money they’ve ever made and it isn’t going nearly as far as it used to. In your example you’re making it seem like people are going to more expensive hair stylists and beauticians for example when they’re going to the same people they’ve always gone to.

My cousin told me how them white folks was coming in droves to her polling location and asking her will my vote count if i only vote for one thing. They saw that black woman all over tv and said hold my beer and got they ass up and went and marked trump and went home.
