Thinking a black and brown woman spitting progressive nonsense was gonna win over some ignorant RACIST hillbilly from Mississippi who education level is 2nd grade is CRAZY

:dead:

You keep talking Bernie this or that but here's the reality

Black people backed Hillary and she lost
Black people backed Biden and he won
(Less) Black people backed Kamala and she lost

It's time for change.
I maintain its the online contrarian media sphere (Looking at you ADOS/FBA)
They're black and their family has been here 300 plus years. The only contrarian here is you.

What are you?

It would depend on your definition of white supremacy. There's a more nuanced definition that would account for what you're saying, but it would also mean that you could attribute Barack Obama's election to white supremacy. People in here and the broader political discourse right now aren't using the term in that way, they're saying Donald Trump won because he promised to return America to Jim Crow, and that's tough to gel with the fact he won with the most racially diverse coalition in modern Republican history. Turning to racism as the primary explanatory factor would require you to posit that millions of black and brown people are for the first time consciously voting for their own explicit immiseration (the mass delusion argument). A far more sensible rationale backed by data is that the Kamala/Biden campaign left the door open for a massive realignment of the multi-racial working class to Trump on non-racial grounds, be it economic or personality.

These incomes correlate with higher levels of education as well.

Maybe a solid education is more of a remedy than even economics. :heh:

I sincerely hope that I’m wrong and you guys are right about working class whites and economic anxiety and a progressive candidate comes around and is able to woo them especially in the Midwest.

But I know also know too much about the whites to get my hopes too high.

So you don’t believe Trump is a threat to democracy in subsequent elections?

What if Trump forces states to connect voting machines to starlink going forward hypothetically?
And if the fear is Musk and other cronies are the shadow leaders, what’s to stop them for installing the next leader in 2028?

I don't think anyone is denying racism.

But as you said earlier, they rigged two primaries (and then didn't have one this year).

And when prices are outpacing wag growth, you have to tell people why. They're talking about January 6, something that happened almost 4 years go.

on the subject of populism, and institutions, you can see where in 2015/2016, Trump attacked institutional leaders, and structures, and long held ideas, across the parties

and the GOP basically released their grip, in a lot of cases, while Democrats began to cling tighter and tighter to the institutions, you can see this like the FBI fever, the media, the reverence for Special Counsel investigations, the FDA, the CDC, DOJ, SEC, the frameworks of government. The Pentagon. The DOD. Things that previously were kind of criticized by the Democrats, esp. like an Obama figure.

They weren't watching the shifting tide in the voter blocs. And right there you can see the shift.

irrelevant to what i am trying to say.
Why are you quoting this at me like you're making some kind of point? The "working class" still largely votes for Democrats. Union households still largely vote for Democrats. My point isn't that Democrats are perfect, but highlighting how, if we're going to have to target these people, we need to be honest about their make-up. And to stop excluding *us* from the "working class." I'm sick of it. It's like y'all are afraid to tell the truth about the reality of this country.

Slightly off topic, but why are white people always complaining about art being 'political' :dahell:

I thought it was just white men, but I'm seeing all over tiktok white women who are part of 'booktok' telling people to stop talking about the election because "books shouldn't be political" :what: Of all things, books aren't political? :mindblown:

I know why they're saying it (all they read on 'booktok' is smut. It's basically female JBO), but do white people have no media literacy at all :why:

It's like a couple years ago when I met some anti-mask, anti-vax right winger who said he was a huge Star Trek fan. Did you miss the entire point of what Star Trek is about? :mjtf:

Because I had my choice and they had theirs. That's simple.

Why didn't you vote for Trump, since you want to discriminate against others.
I’m not discriminating against anyone. You just have an unscientific view on trans issues. I have graduate degrees in biochemistry. We’re not the same.

for them the difference between the parties is tax policy, not social policy
